I started a thread about this same issue at the beginning of the year and it was shut down within minutes of me posting it by a mod who already posted in this thread. That same person also sent me a pm about not starting topics that are condoning any type of drug use. Amazing how things change so quickly.Comment

I would use them...never knew if folks at my high school/college were on them (we kind of sucked at sports) but if they enabled me to sign a pro contract, why not? I wouldn't KEEP using them, just need that first million or two.
Granted I started on my rugby team, and there isn't much money in that sport in the first place. Now if I continued playing football...I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

To answer the question. Yes. If I was a professional athlete and my performance was lacking, I would definitely take them.
I already did when I was 23. I was stationed in San Diego and went across the border with my Marine friends into Tijuana, Mexico. You could get anything you wanted there. We had roid "parties" where we shot up across the border and then came back over. The military never tested for juice, so that's what we did. Just a bunch of dumb young kids.Comment

To all of those that answered yes:
Would you still do it if these two things were guaranteed to happen?
1) You get to sign a professional contract for $1-2 million in the sport of your choice.
and
2) You get busted within the first year for using steroids by the league of your sport and have to face ridicule (humiliation) from your friends, family, teamates and fans whom you've intentionally (and selfishly) just let down publicly who will forever know that you are a cheater.Comment

I know for a fact I have never complained about athletes taking juice. I actually called David Stein(for those that don't know who he is, he is a sports radio host on Sporting News Radio) when he was talking about it one night. This was around when the whole Floyd Landis thing broke out. I asked him what he thought about doing away with steriod testing because athletes will NEVER stop trying to gain an edge. I mean for Pete's sake, cyclists are using now. Rafael Palmiero pointed his finger at Congress and denied to their face.
I just don't see the issue going away.Comment
