Re: How many...
I applied and got accepted for 3, U. of Puget Sound, Linfield College, and Western Washington. I was going to apply for Penn, Cornell, and Lehigh, as well, but I was too late for their deadlines. I was pretty limited though, because I was playing football and was recruited by those 3 schools, whereas I sent tapes and letters to other schools before realizing that my best bet was to go to one of the first schools I applied to."You should only drink to enhance your social skills." -Barney GumbleComment

Re: How many...
I had to take one of those tests as well. So gay.
It's like they expect the people who go to Community College to be absolute morons. I guess "saving money" never ran across their minds.
Community College blows. Worst decision ever. I should have just applied to real Colleges.
I don't really mind CC, it's weird how it's totally anti-social though, you just go to class and go home, it was weird going there straight from HS.Blind to this impending fate

Re: How many...
Same for my CC; most of my instructors don't even take any sort of attendance. I don't even know my history instructor's name.

Re: How many...
I seriously forgot the the day the test was on, I showed up like 2 minutes before they started. I was the first one to leave, that test was ridiculously easy.

I enjoyed High School, but I want a change. Going to High School version 2.0 but without most of your friends, sucks.Comment

Re: How many...
First off, I went 6-6 with my college apps.
That said, you're actually probably a little over the average. I've worked in the admissions office at a college for almost 8 years and I would say the average right now is about 5-6. Go too much over that and it can just get confusing. Also, make sure that you do enough research on each one that you're considering--and I don't mean looking at the website or talking to your friends. Get on campus and do a formal visit/tour. Sit in on a class (most schools would allow you to do this). Talk to a professor or current student. Heck, even stay overnight, if you want to.
In the end, keep in mind that it's all about finding the right fit for you so really think about what you want to get out of college. I always thought I wanted a D-I school with a huge football program but once I started looking at everything, I realized that I wanted to be somewhere where I would know most of the students and professors. Believe me, I think I got 10 times the education out of that setting than I would've gotten at the big schools. Anyway, before I get too preachy, there's my 2-cents.
If you want/need any help figuring stuff out, shoot me a PM and I'll give you my e-mail address. I've done several workshops on the college search process and I'd be happy to help you sort stuff out.PSN: JWGoNDComment
