    Ghost stories etc...

So, it's Halloween time, anyone have any good ghost stories, real or fake. A good site with them? Any creepy stuff to share?

I still want to go on a real ghost hunter with pro's, wish I could find somewhere to do that.

Funny you should mention that, tomorrow night, my school is having professional ghost hunters come out and lead an "expedition" through our graveyard. It should be cool, we even get those metal "ghost hunting" rods.

        Re: Ghost stories etc...

I have a great one...well it wasn't so great for me......I'm not trying to convince anyone to believe or not believe...because I don't know if I do

8 years ago est.....100% truth, nothing added, nothing taken away

I was Managing a high class restaurant in South Bend, In called Doc Peirce's. Named so accordingly , due to the fact that the building was established in apporx. 1883. It used to be the local doctor's office and morgue. I ran the place along with another gentlemen, who had much seniority, and I worked most of the weekends.

My job consisted of any other job like this, I would open the place up at 2pm( no breakfast and only lunch during the week ) on Friday and Saturday, which included getting the bar prepped, kitchen roaring, and dining room settled and job's distributed.

After the place closed typically around 1 am, I would count the drawers down, disperse the tips.....and close the place down...I left typically around 2:30 am. The place was small, but beautiful inside, all deep dark wood walls and flooring, with only a small dining area of about 200 people and a party loft that held around 50 people.

I walked everyone out for the night, and proceeded back to my office in the back part of the restaurant. My office was just a small quaint little 12x10 room that was mine and only mine, it's there that i usually wrapped the evening up. Because the person who closed down was here by themselves, our office''s had auto locks on them, and we had Monitors that established a view of both entrances, the kitchen, the dining room and the hall out in front of my office.

So the story......I was sitting there counting everything down as I had done so many times without a care in the world, this night was different and would truly change my life and views. As i rambled through the drawers, receipts, and cash to make sure all was good, I saw out of the corner of my eye what appeared to be a figure on the monitor exiting the hallway to my office and into the the main dining area. At this point i rationalized that I was tired, but still proceeded to check it out. As I opened the door I heard what I thought was little girls voice mumble something on the other side of the door...granted it was late and the door was 8 feet away, I proceeded to the door and pushed it open( it was a sway door either direction) As I Pushed it open, The room was as dark and silent as one could hope for....I decided to head to restroom which was on my left by about 50 feet. As I am using the restroom for a total of about 2 minutes, I hear loudest crash I think I had ever heard...keep in mind, these were sound proof bathrooms. I rushed out the door and into the front of the building as it had sounded like a car had crashed out in front the place...I look out the window and nothing, I open the door and I hear and see nothing.

As astounded as I am that there was nothing at least in sight to explain this, I head back to go to my office....as I pass the phone on the wall...I notice that the light is blinking, as if someone is on hold.....my heart literally starts to pound as anxiety rushes through my body. I pick up the phone, knowing damn well that there are only 3 phones in the whole establishment.
The one I am on, the one behind the bar( which I can see ) and th e one in my office. Since I am on one, can see the other, that only leaves the office phone which is behind a autolock door and I am all alone. I pick up the phone and it sounds like someone was there, but said nothing....I asked 2 or 3 times hello, can I help...with no response...the person then hung up the phone. The obvious thing to do was to walk back and check my office

As I walk back to the office, I notice the pot's and pan's slightly brushing up against each other making a slight PING...they hung off a ceiling rack....which only added to the creepiness of this darkly saturated room ...which once again used to be a morgue. I approach the door to my office and with my heart still pound, I open the door and.....nothing, just an empty office. I was so terrified, that I I grabbed my stuff and rushed out of there and got to my car...only to realize that I had left my little brother's b-day gift in my office......I got the courage to go back in there and grab it and leave asap again.

Thats my story, to this day, I still have no feelings either way...all that stuff could have been just coincidences. the hardest part was, they happended all the same time.

          Re: Ghost stories etc...

          Ive got a couple stories.

First a precursor, weird things have always happened in my family. When my Grandfathers brother died in the 60's - my aunts clock, my moms clock and my grandparents clock all stopped on the time he died.

So now to my stories. As a kid I was always shy and quiet and when I walked home from school I would sometimes cross the street just to avoid people walking towards me, etc. The house I grew up in was two doors away from my grandparents house and their was a neighbor in between who would always be out on his hands and knees in a navy blue sweatpants and sweatshirt picking weeds or mowing the lawn or whatever. One day as I walked home from elementary school, I kinda tiptoed past him and he yelled at me and told me I had to say hello to my neighbors. I learned my lesson. Years later I left for college and that November my sister told me that the neighbor had died. So the next summer I had come home from school early in the morning and there was the neighbor on his hands and knees picking weeds - so I said hello and he didnt do anything - I said hello again and he stood up and turned and walked inbetween houses. So I thought, weird and looked down the sidewalk and he was gone. I go inside and told my sister who I said hello to and that he didnt answer me back she looked at me funny and reminded me that he died last fall.

Second story - I was hanging light fixtures with my cousin in a computer business in Chicago that used to be a AM&PM grocery store which had a somewhat domed ceiling. We were downstairs and it was close to 1am so nobody else was in the building. All of the sudden we hear laughing and pounding on the floor like there was a party going on - it just kept getting louder and louder. So we looked at each other and ran up the stairs to see what was going on. By the time we got up about 20 stairs the noise stopped.

It happened 2 yrs ago at my house. We were all sleeping and I heard a bang downstairs.I was getting up to see what fell and the wife was nudging me to check it out.Im getting up and see a shadow coming up the stairs and I think its a crook. Went to my closet grabbed a baseball bat then went to the hall, it disappeared. The hair on my arms was standing on end and we still talk about this alot.
The second thing of the same year was weird. The family and I were in Myrtle beach on vacation. I left my sister in charge of the house. She takes her 11 yr old daughter and a friend to get the mail and check on things. When she walks in she hears cries for help coming from the dining room. They go in and see something white streak by them and goes into the bathroom. The two kids are spooked so my sister calls me at the beach to tell me about it.I tell her to go to the bathroom and make sure nobody broke in. She tries to get into the bathroom the door is locked now and she tells me cant get in.I tell her stay there and call her husband and have him check it out. They decide to wait outside and hang on my deck. Her husband goes to the bathroom and sees that the bottom hinge is loose from the door and he pushes it and gets the door open. He finds nothing in there. Well my sister wont watch the house anymore and I have had no happenings since. The kids still talk about it.

Oh, I'm not saying I don't believe you. I'm just saying as soon as I heard that voice, I would have thrown up the deuce and walk out the door. Called in the next day and be like, "Yeaaaah, I'm... never coming back. Thank you."

1.My brother and I were playing halo 2 Co-Op upstairs when I happen to see my brothers character not moving. I said Austin(my bros name)why are you just standing there and look over at him. He is just staring down the the hall way toward my closed bedroom door. Well I looked in the direction he was and in the hall way was a foot wide ball of what look grayish smoke. Well it starts to come towards my brother and I. It made its way between my brother and I and went out the window. No sooner did it go out the window my bro ran down the hall and down the steps screaming. I ran after him. I did not sleep upstairs for like 2 weeks after that. One of the scariest things I have ever seen in my life.

2.Another story is at my grandmas house, she use to always set the thermastat hight like to 75-80 degrees. My dad or sumone would always move it back down. Well my grandma passed away and now the thermastat always resets to 75 degrees every morning. It is just wierd.

3.(I heard this story).A delivery guy was delivering a package to a house in Antietam Battlefield. Well while driving thru the battlefiels a man on a horse was blocking the road. He said that there was a war going on and to turn back. Well the dilivery guy went back and got the police. When they came back he was gone.

Thats the thing Fly, I am a pretty sensible type of guy, and I know what the mind can do when you are dead *** tired. It's not like I could hear her coherently or anything, it just sounded like a little girl mumble something.

A little side note from my original story...my head bartender( Mike ) noticed that I was pretty screwed up over the next couple of weeks and I would tell no one what happened, I just kept it inside. I finally told him what the story, and he said that our in-house butcher who actually cut our meat down stairs in the actual old morgue, would tell him stories about hearing voices, noises and feeling like he was being watched all the time....and he had to come in and cut the steaks and chops at like 3:30 in the morning by himself.
