Everyone under the frikkin sun are using these phrases now. I blame the athletes for this crap, especially the NBA!

It drives me insaine. It's an attempt to sound smarter. More Intellectual. Instead it sounds like people trying to sound smarter. Instead people sound like a frikkin tool.


One of the VPs from Sony was stating, "At the end of the day...." I perfer to play my video games at any point of the day. More so, at the end of the day I'm not thinking aobut, "wow, this new customizable XMB is amazing!"

A VP from Gamestop saying the same thing. These are "Suits" that are saying
this crap. They get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to sound like a tool. Amazing.


I'd rather listen to G.W. Bush ramble and make up new words like he does in almost every interview and speech he gives.

on ESPNN NFL Sunday (all the shows) I said I was going to start a counter and count all the times that "at the end of the day" is said. Keyshawn, Emmitt, even Parcells can't get through one segment without saying it.

"At the end of the day ..." is a saying that Europeans have used for years. I guess Americans are latching on, thinking they'll sound more sophisticated and Continental for using it.

"It is what it is" must have its origins in a chimpanzee cage, because anyone who uses it regularly sounds like they have the intelligence of a basic primate. It's one of the more stupid sayings out there. It has replaced "one of them deals" and "awesome" as the most overused cliche in NASCAR now. Every driver is saying it.

I prefer "for f*ck's sake" myself when it comes to sayings ...
