Arabic? Interesting class. Is it hard?

Its hard in that you have to completely forget all your preconceived notions about language. Learning different sounds and reading right to left is a steep learning curve. But once you get into it, it gets fun. I am really enjoying it. Its becoming a more popular language around the country and its cool to learn about the language and the culture. Beyond what you see on tv.

I learned quite a bit of Arabic by going to school in Dearborn, Michigan for my whole life.

...Of course most of it involves the other person's mom.

3... 500-level: Financial Derivatives, Investments, and Corporate Finance. Tues, Wed, Saturday respectively of next week.

Finals are overrated. At least here. We have a whole week for finals, and there's no class or anything, so there's plenty of time to study. If you don't have enough time during finals week to study, you should have gone to class or paid better attention.

I agree although with cumalitive tests it sucks since you have to look at notes from months ago. What I don't understand is why so many people never go to any classes and then show up to the finals. Finals are worth a lot but not that much.

Yeah, I'm really not too worried about my finals.

None of the four I have are cumulative so they're all basically just another test.

Yeah but it shouldn't take as long to study it because you don't have to re-learn it, even if it was a couple months ago. You're just reviewing something that's already somewhere in your brain. Of course assuming you've done the work up to this point.

Finals are all worth 40% here. Yet there are still people that don't do anything all year but sit for the final. Even if they ace it they still fail the class. Does not compute.

So my 2 music courses and Natural Disasters are not real classes.

Honestly the music stuff would kick my ***, I just don't have that innate musical ability (I can sing chorus but only mimic...can't "hear" notes like some do).

Natural Disasters is awesome! I took "Shake 'n Bake" my senior year to fill out 12 credits and be full time. Easiest class ever!

It was weird to wake up on days when you don't have a final and know that you really have nothing to do except study. It then gets vary easy to procrastinate. lol.

This makes me angry. I feel bad for the parents that are paying for their kids to get a great education, but they don't wake up for class. Those same kids come down the night before a final and cry for help.

Two, both next Wednesday. I might only have to take one though.

Same, except I have to take both, and they fall on my birthday.

Oh, and I like that you learned Arabic cusswords about people's Mom's. Now I can use them and only you will understand!

Total of 6.

I had a take home exam I turned in on November 19th. Had another exam on November 29th. Had two more today, which were easy as hell.

My last two are on Friday and then next Tuesday.

Don't go back until January 14th.

These are people that give college the reputation for producing stress-freaks. No one ever stops to realize that "Hey, maybe they're pulling all-nighters because they haven't done any learning until this point!"

I've taken some pretty tough classes, and I have NEVER pulled an all-nighter. All you have to do is do a little at a time, and you'll realize there are very few unfair deadlines if any. That being said, I'm not going to act as though I don't procrastinate, I just don't see the point in complaining when I know it's my own fault I have a lot to do at any given time.

Some people do need help though, even though they study. Plus some other people might have a lot going on in a week and asks for help to study for a test that maybe slipped their mind or something. It's not just people who skip out of class asking for help.
