Re: Fights
Most fights start over something stupid. I was at Virginia Beach a couple years back, and some guy wanted to fight me because I bumped into him. His friend wasn't drunk and just took his boy away. I've seen fights over the stupidest things ever, part of life I guess.Comment

Re: Fights
Even if the fight was stupid, I would never sit back and watch my friend get his *** beat. I'll try to help him out.

But it does seem like everytime I went to a college party there was a fight, but once you turn 21 and can go to bars the fights arent as frequent.Texas A&M Aggies

Re: Fights
Well you said you've been in 3 fights this year protecting your boys. Is it the same person/group of people you've been protecting all 3 times? If it is, then maybe they are the problem, or part of it. If it's different people, maybe it's just bad luck that you've run into a few *******s.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Fights
I'd stop going to random parties. Random house parties have a higher chance of having arrogant d-bags present than a normal house party.
Not to mention, your friends need to learn to hold their alcohol. If they can't drink without wanting to fight, they need to drink the non-alcoholic beers.Twitter

Re: Fights
I don't know why kids who shouldn't drink continue to do so. I haven't drank since the spring my junior of high school. Not really because I don't like it, but after about 4-5 hours of drinking, I get angry and will fight anybody. After one night, I stopped hanging out with my friends, and stopped drinking all together.
Though if you just want fights to stop, you can carry a firearm. Nobody ****s with the guy with a gun.Comment

Re: Fights
I was only half-kidding. Ninety-five percent of fights are caused by stupid things -- you've admitted that. So if you can't settle those stupid things without fists, then, well, I think the prior advice fits.
Nothing else seems to be working, is it?
Take care,

Re: Fights
Dude,
You don't want to be around these fights, trust me. When I was in college I saw a kid die. I actually didn't know he died that night because I left the scene because things were escalating and I wasn't part of the issue. But the kid got dotted fell and hit his head on a parking block then got tagged a few more times when he was on the ground. I saw that go down and he died later that night. Alot of people who were probably decent without the alcohol ended up messing their lives up for good. Not only did one kid lose his life but a couple others are still rotting in prison and the trickle down effect that it has on family and friends is horrible. Things happen too fast in those situations.
I also got in one fist fight in college. There was a drunk kid in the line at a taco bell around midnight being an *** and I turned to my friend and said,"whats this clown's problem?" The drunk kids drunk buddy overhead it and it was on before I knew what was going on. He tried to kick me in the nuts and I saw red with rage and before I knew what was going on, I was beating the living hell out of some poor sapp. I look back on this now and just think how stupid that was. You can ruin your life over one stupid episode. People can really get messed up physically and with the law if you don't practice good judgement. Luckily nothing came of that incident.
Another thing for the original poster to ponder: With the lack of respect for human life these days, how long before someone in one of these fights in which you're involved pulls out a piece and starts firing? Ever think about that? Will it be worth it to get shot or to be a pallbearer at your friend's funeral because you "manned up" and "protected" him?
Take care,

Re: Fights
There won't. You're obviously hanging around with the wrong people. I've never been in a fight in my life, and I've never seen a fight in my life at a party.Comment
