Another major violation is if your co-worker is sitting in the stall next to yours and tries to start a conversation. THere's really nothing to say under that circumstance.

If the only urinal available is next to somebody else, do you use it, or do you just wait until one with more space becomes available?

Middle school, we always waited. High school, a lot of people stopped waiting. College we only have one urinal so it's never been an issue. Seems like in public places people never follow the law.

I either wait or go into a stall.

Actually, come to think of it...at UMass each building has, usually, 3 urinals. If any of them is taken I'll go into a stall.

All these rules get thrown out the window when you are at a sporting event (baseball, football game) when every urinal is taken and they are 5 deep. Gets you paranoid that something is going to get flung over your shoulder from behind!
