    Ratemyprofessor.com Appreciation

Kudos to whoever invented this wonderful website. They have single-handily enhanced my college experience and have NEVER let me down in my three years in college. Every prof that's been tabbed as being hot, has been HOT. Nothing attracts you to class more than having a smoking prof. Every prof that's been tabbed as being easy, has been a breeze. I love posting about which professors I've had, and love reading through comments I left a year or two ago. Amazing site, I bow down.

Looks like my online Psychology class, Biology class, Biology lab, math class will all be easy this semester.

Apparently my history class is incredibly boring, but easy if I pay attention.

I don't know how accurate the hotness was for my school. For my old contracts professor it was dead on, she was f'ing smoking, the walking definition of a MILF. She'd also wear short skirts and these incredibly sexy leather boots to class about once a week. God I loved Contracts.

As for the other female professor someone rated as hot, good lord have mercy on their soul. Not only was she ugly but she had a horrible accent that was somewhere between a traditional Boston accent and a dying moose.

        What school is this?

I want to transfer there, now.

Well I went to Western New England College School of Law, but sadly she is no longer a professor there. She moved on to a bigger school this year.

It is a shame, the pic she had on our website was the worst picture that anyone could have taken of her. That or she really looks like crap without makeup.

From looking at the reviews of my teachers last semester this just seems like a place for people to bitch about their grade.

Great site. I didn't really care about the hotness so much as just having easy teachers where I had to do very little work. I definitely picked great professors this past semester.

Now that I'm getting into my major, I'm having less options to pick which teachers I want. However, I do seem to have an easy Lit professor next semester. He supposedly lets the class out early (3 hour class once a week)

I never knew this site existed. It may not have when I went to S.C. State from '97-'02. I just checked it out and read the comments on a math teacher I had and couldn't help but laugh because they were spot on. These comments were from '05 and I took the class in '98.

I can't seem to remember the names of all my professors but the ones I did remember have been spot on.

Good to know I wasn't the only one that thought Professor A was clueless and boring. Or that Professor B was a hard grader but still the best teacher I ever had. Crazy but true.

For my school, you could just tell who was posting on the site to bitch. If there's at least 15 or so ratings, I'll go with the majority. I can't stress how accurate the claims have been for the past three years.

Everything is pretty accurate on that site. I've only been misled once, and it wasn't that bad.

I wish more people would post the number of/type of tests that the professors give, because that plays a MAJOR factor in how I'll do in the class.

That's what I did in my reviews, although I still think people that go there just want to complain.

I looked at the reviews for my math (Calc II) professor, and they were all 1s and 2s. This guy let us use a front and back cheat cheet on each exam and two of them on the final. There was a practice tests posted online before each exam in the final which detailed exactly what would be on the real test, all he did was change the numbers around a bit. You could not have asked for a more helpful professor or easier class, yet people are still there bitching.

Some people suck at open book tests.

I don't get it. But there are those out there.

Generally (from my experience) these are the perfectionist types, who "think" they know the answer but always check to make sure... Then they run out of time, and they're screwed. If they didn't have a book, they'd have gone with their original inclination which is generally right.
