    Re: Ratemyprofessor.com Appreciation

I have found the site tremendously accurate. Not even so much the write-ups, but the overall scores. For example, one of my profs from last semester scored a 2.3 in the ease category, which was the same score another prof had whom I didn't find too hard. Sure enough, the level of difficulty was roughly identical.

And it's not even so much about it being perfectly accurate, but instead just about giving you an idea of what to expect. There's nothing worse than taking a class that you think is going to be a blow-off and finding out (too late, potentially) that it's anything but. That is, all you really have to worry about are classes that rate easy but are actually hard - and, really, how often is that going to happen?

Side note: I needed to fill two cognate/elective holes for next semester, and was considering five options. In EACH case, the prof scored terribly.

I'd already had 4 of the 5 teachers I have next semester. The final one seems relatively cool, so it seems like I'll have a good semester.
