I would avoid planet Earth. This place is more trouble than it's worth.
Heck, if they catch an episode or two of WWE or TNA they'll be like, "who booked this crap?"BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Humans are so arrogant. Yeah, the end of the 4 billion year life of the world is going to end in our lifetimes. OK.
But if the world ends in 2012, at least I will get to see the series finale of LOST.Listen to some of my covers:

Re: 2012--The End of the World?
There is no evidence to support other intelligent life. Of course there is no evidence that there is no aliens either. Thus, it's really up to the individual person to determine which they believe since there are no facts. I am a Christian, and though Christianity does not necessarily say that aliens cannot exist, I really don't believe God would have created them. But then again, what do I know?
It's really something that you have to decide yourself and depend on faith since there are no facts.
Also, one thing that always bugs me is why are the aliens more advanced than us? They could be primitive cave men running around that are stupid. Also, why would they particularly be evil and want to kill us. They could be nice and want to help us.
Like I said, I do not believe there are aliens, but I will not say that it is not possible either since we have no facts. It's all speculation.Comment

I personally believe in alien life. It's just too mind boggling to think that all that space is occupied by ONE single intelligent lifeform.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2012--The End of the World?
Well, in my mind there are no aliens and as I look at all the creatures of the earth, I think I can assuredly say mankind is much smarter than anything else. That's not saying mankind is smart, but we are the smartest, or we could say, "the least dumb", LOL!Comment

IMO, I think there is some kind of life out there........we can all disagree on this and that is cool. Let me call my alien cousin to make a post here on OS to prove everyone in doubt wrong. LOL!Comment

Re: 2012--The End of the World?
I know you don't think there are, I was just pointing out why the aliens are always considered smarter than us.
Well that's pretty much a given, but we weren't talking about other things on this Earth.Comment

Re: 2012--The End of the World?
Yellowstone going off won't necessarily be the end of the world. Depending on the severity of the eruption it'll be anywhere from making North America unlivable for 5-10 years to the extreme of ending human civilization but the world and life as we know it will eventually come out of the dark and thrive once again.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2012--The End of the World?
Why do people keep mentioning Yellowstone?
It'll cover a few states and provinces, no? So it'll affect North America, at most (I mean, Im sure people will re-locate to other areas of the world), but still, it'll mainly affect NA geology. Ahhh, us Americans and Canadians thinking we're the center of the world.
Im starting to think that NA was sparsely inhabited for a reason. Places like Canada are way too cold, the US has some pretty crazy heatwaves, as well as killer insects and rough animals (Crocs, etc); Australia has some of the craziest animals ever; the Amazon the same.
I dono, I think people avoided these areas on purpose.PSN: Peji911Comment

Re: 2012--The End of the World?
Here's why:
but within the past two million years, it has undergone three extremely large explosive eruptions, up to 2,500 times the size of the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption. The three eruptions happened 2.1 million years ago, 1.3 million years ago, and the most recent such eruption produced the Lava Creek Tuff 640,000 years ago and spread a layer of volcanic ash over most of the North American continent.......A full-scale eruption of the Yellowstone caldera could result in millions of deaths locally and catastrophic climatic effects globallyMember of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
