"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer -

Re: Budwieser: Not all that
I can't really pin down one beer yet. Ever since I lived in Germany coming back to the states has been a let down for beer. I wish I could though. What I will do is this, there's place by me called "The Wine Library" and they have all kinds of exotic things in there. So they may indeed be able to or already have hard to find imported beers there. Next time I go I will find out and report to you guys. Lately I've been downing Coronas. But they don't hold my attention anymore.Comment

Re: Budwieser: Not all that
I prefer to just drink miller lite or Bud Light, but everyone once in awhile I will drink some stronger out of country beer.
Guiness or however you spell it, Is the worst beer i've ever had in my life. It's what I think Mud, Milk, and sap off of a tree with a shot of Vodka would taste like. Just my opinion thoLet's Get Ready To Rumble!Comment

Re: Budwieser: Not all that
where can you get it? Like is it a national microbrew thing? I've got a specialty store here where they have imported stuff and little known brews, so I'll have to check for it. Other wise, I've found that Ingles actually carries a nice beer selection here for a grocery supermarket at least.Comment

Re: Budwieser: Not all that
Anyway....I've been around the world and had beers in too many countries to name. Guiness and like are great beers, but a beer doesn't always have to be a meal. It's great for enjoying a few over the course of a night, but I wouldn't consider a Guiness a "refreshing" beer on a summer's day.Comment

Re: Budwieser: Not all that
The distillery is very small and Dogfish Head Spirits are distributed only in Delaware and in parts of Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Dogfish Head also owns and operates an "alehouse" in Gaithersburg, MD and opened one in Falls Church, VA on September 26, 2007. Beer-paired food and vintage bottles of Dogfish's seasonal beers are available at their aleshouses, as well as kegged offerings of their staple beers.
