I pretty much agree with this. If I am gonna drink I want something that tastes good, beer to me is what i would imagine carbonated urine would taste like. and no i dont know what urine tastes like carbonated or uncarbonated.

Let alone an American "light" beer, I can't remember the last time I drank a light-colored beer. Guinness, Newcastle, Bass, etc is all I drink.

I actually had a Bud Light can at the Jets/Browns game (I was desperate, you couldn't be sober to watch that game live) and I could barley get it down. Awful stuff.

BTW, what the heck forum was this originally posted in that it had to get moved here?

yeah, I sneak in liquor whenever I go to sport events, since they all either sell miller, bud, or coors. I refuse to pay $4 a cup for what's basically shiss in a can.

I don't drink to get drunk. I drink because it tastes good and is satisfying. Guinness tastes great. Those light beers taste like cold piss to me.

I drink for taste, whether it's beer, coffee or Scotch. And light beer has no taste. Neither does regular Bud or Miller. Bud is Clydesdale piss.

My three faves, in order:

1. Sierra Nevada Porter. The nectar of the gods.
2. Guinness Stout. Mother's milk.
3. Saranac India Pale Ale. My favorite of the outstanding Saranac line.

My daily drinker is Labatt Blue. A smooth pilsener lager. As for cheap beers, it's tough to beat Pabst Blue Ribbon in a can. Seriously.

And btw. Guinness IS the sweet nectar. if you like stouts (its a stout right??)

i like dark beers but when i go for Ales i usually get Redtail, or Eye of the Hawk.

but sadly nomore sweet nectar for me ... atleast not for awhile.
That damn Dogfish looks mighty tasty though.
