I had walking pneumonia about 10 years ago. I walked around with it for three weeks before I wised up and went to a doctor. Mine wasn't as bad though. My fever never approached 105.

Basically that's the bottom line with the "walking" pneumonias (I've never heard of a 105 with it though, that's weird and is certainly not the norm for the atypical pneumonias).

Nothing you can do will make this a few day thing- you're going to have this for a while. You'll feel crummy for a few weeks and probably have a pretty consistent low-grade fever. Odds are, you probably have a nice Mycoplasma infection right now

It shouldn't be that bad- if your fever spikes like that again, I wouldn't recommend staying at home though.

I felt like that after eating some old lunch meat. Pretty much the worst night of my life.
