    Re: Anybody Like Bojangles?

Bojangles chicken is pretty good but most of the time I eat Popeye's or Church's because Church's is on the corner while Popeye's is down the block and the only time I hit up the KFC is to get Taco bell.

I wouldn't even count the one they have in New York... It's like 5-10 minutes from where I used to live, in Brooklyn, and it's not even a traditional restaurant, more like a kiosk in this little pseudo-mall on Broadway. I went over there cause I couldn't believe there was actually a Bojangles' in Brooklyn. It was a Sunday evening, about 7:00, and the mall itself was closed up. But the Bo's, you could go up to this window and place your order, manned by this Arab cat. I kid you not, he asked what sides I wanted, and I said, "Dirty Rice", and he started going off on me about why was I insulting his rice... "Dude, never mind, just give me a breast and a biscuit, OK?" It was horrible. I think the biscuit was actually a hockey puck that someone put some flour on and put in the oven. Waste of money.

But did they still have the sweet tea?

You know what, from the first moment when I got there, I was already expecting the worst... By the time I got finished arguing with the Arab about not insulting his rice, I was ready to bolt. I don't know if they had sweet tea, but I'm sure if tea was on the menu, it would have been that Lipton Brisk tea.

Well, they have them in a lot of places, though most of them still reside in the Southeast. I believe they began in Charlotte if I am not mistaken. They're now celebrating their 30th anniversary.

EDIT: I've got about 13 of them within 10 miles of me and over 20 if you include Winston Salem, which is a good 20-25 minutes away from my house. A lot of choices!

Yeah. I've gone to the original one a bunch of times.

I'd love for some Popeyes' to start opening around here, if only for some variety... Cats around here don't really check for KFC; the drive thru lane at the Bo's by my pad is usually always 6-7 cars deep... Sadly, the only other Popeyes' in the state besides the one in the airport is at a truck stop off of I-40, somewhere near Burlington, I believe.

It's alot more than 1 in the A. It's one over by Camo Creek and one on Old Natty. Just the two I remember. A few on up 75 in Cobb.

KFC is disgusting. Anytime I eat their chicken I get sick.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
