Teacher in trouble...

This happened in my Home town, a High School Teacher is going to court because he had 'internet' contact with an 14 year old girl (not from our town) and another kid under 16 (not from our town) and showing naked pictures of himself too.

Was over all local news channels yesterday pretty crazy to have happen in my home town.

I don't go to West Boylston Middle/High School (I go to a Voke School) but I live there and he was my 8th grade history teacher, I believe he taught just High School nowadays. He also was a JV baseball coach, I never would of suspected he would do something like this, he came off as a very sarcastic guy who was "one of the boys" style teachers.

We had this happen at my old Middle School a few years ago. The teacher was one of the most popular, easygoing teachers at the school. Everyone loved him (one girl apparently a little too much). It was very weird to see our school on TV and getting hounded by reporters.

My 6th grade science/math teacher, Jon Utin, was arrested and convicted for molesting little girls.

The weird thing about it is... my mother had him as a teacher too.

The BIP (The place where the bad kids go to get disciplined) teacher (He also taught sports medicine) teacher at my school (Southwest Guilford High School) was fired and sent to jail for soliciting sex to a 15 year old girl over the internet. His name was Mr. Hatley.

We had a SEX ED teacher get fired and sued for sexual harassment. She was an assistant coach for the girls basketball team and apparently got to cozy in the locker room with a player after everyone else had left. Had only been there for about a month.

Seriously though Worcester County, MA has one of the highest incest and child molestation rates in America. Oddly enough in an interview last week I was asked how I would handle a case if I was representing one of these perverts, do you know how tempting it was to say I'd test the limits seeing how incompetent I could be without rising to the level of ineffective assistance of counsel.
