    Would you be mad?

ok I know these guys that are best friends.....

Friend A (lets call him Joe) is currently engaged
then there is friend B (lets call him John)

Anyway, during conversation, Joe finds out that John made out (JUST made out,not sex) with one of his ex girlfriends while they were dating (this girl isnt his fiance mind you).....Joe gets so upset at this that he tells John he cant be his best man anymore...and theyre currently not speaking.

am I the only one that thinks Joe is acting mighty stupid about the whole thing? I mean, its messed up, but considering the circumstances....I just think its unecessary to get bent out of shape about this NOW....

WOW. If that happened to you, that's absurd man. Joe seems unstable, and maniacal.

I wouldn't do that to one of my friends... so if they did that to me, especially if it were the guy that I considered my best man, yeah, I suppose I'd be upset. The truth is that it should have been hammered out whenever that happened, but apparently John swept it under the rug, so predictably he has to deal with the consequences now. It's nothing he'll be pissed about forever but it is definately understandable IMO.. you just don't do that to your boy, and you especially don't do that and then let it go for years (or however long) without clearing things up.. How mad do you get, hard to say, but being upset is understandable.

I could understand only if the ex was like a LONG time girl friend of Joe's. Like they were planning to get married or something. If not, then not letting John be the best man is pretty harsh.

Forget the wedding. I have friends who would KILL me if they found out I had done something like that. Without trying to sound sexist but guys get like girls when it comes to relationships. They wig out.

I'd certainly feel uncomfortable with it but not enough to not make him a best man.

Wow, I didn't read the whole story correctly.

That's pretty bad actually, so I don't know.. I'd keep my friend in the wedding only if we had a serious and long talk. But damn stuff like that is hard to forgive much less forget.

I don't blame John at all.

Just because there is a goalie doesn't mean you can't score.

I would have done the same thing Joe did. You are supposed to be friends and you are going to make out with your friend's girlfriend at the time. That is wrong on too many levels.

I totally missed the part where Joe was STILL with his girlfriend when John made out with said girl. That's totally f'ed up, there are no excuses for that. I mean that's just awkward to have John still be the best man ya know?

Me personally, depending on how much I "loved" that ex, I probably would forgive John. But damn, just thinking about certain girls that I've been in crazy love with.. if I had ever found out my friend was macking her.. man, that's a terrible situation. Since Joe's getting married though.. I guess it shouldn't really matter?

I think I could form more of an opinion if I knew how long John and that girl were together, and how serious they were.

Thats the only thing I was saying....since he was getting married and everything...i mean i understand it was really messed up.

Joe and his girl had been in a relationship about 2 months when it happened....it was a heat of the moment thing gone wrong at a party
