When I was still wooing my wife way back in 2001, for V-Day that year I was mad broke and had been w/ her for like 5 months. So I didn't know what to do, I really liked her so I wanted to impress her. Like I said though I was broke.

So this is what I did, mind you I lived in an 3 bedroom apartment with 2 of my boys, so it was a total bachelors pad. Bong's out, empty alcohal bottles on top of the fridge like trophy's. I digress...

Anyway's I took an old jelly jar we had in the fridge, cleaned out the jar. I took some paper and wrote little sayings on there Like "Remember our 1st kiss, or Remember the time in the Movie theater" stuff like that and wrapped the jar w/ paper. On that paper I wrote "Ana's bad jar" and told her whenever she's having a bad day open that up and read a couple of notes.

I know, I know mad simpish, the funny thing is during the whole time my roomates never caught me doing it. It was secrect covert operations going on. I remember one time I was cutting out the sayings and my bedroom door flew open and it was my boys trying to get me to smoke with them or something and I threw everything I had under the bed scared I was finna get caught doing something gaaaaay.

Anyways almost 7 years later got one daughter w/ her and another daughter on the way (April 1st due date)

Try it it'll work but DO NOT admit that you got the idea from somewhere else. Use it as your own they love that.
    Great Idea. You're a genius.

I actually might do this... But with a shoebox instead and include pictures and what not. I'm a bit of a writer as well, so maybe I'll include some corny poetry? Awesome concept, you've given me some great ideas. I really had no idea what I was going to do.

Also, my girlfriend's really catholic and she's given up any chocolate or candy for lent. Anyone have any other small things I could use for V-day?

I've actually went the lazy route this year and had something sent to her office.

Since she's 8 months pregnant I sent some maternity pajamas from pajamagram.com.

Women love it when they get stuff in front of their co-workers, makes em feel special.

Good luck to all tommorrow, who knows in 9 months YOU might be getting maternity pajamas for your lady

Thanks, that is good idea for you I think, a lil spin-off to make it your own.

Good Luck I'm sure she will love it

I've got coaching and playing basketball tonight, so we're not really doing anything. I sent flowers to my wife's school and I've got another gift for her (Across the Universe on DVD) that I'll give her tonight. We're going on to a nice restaurant on Sunday night since we're both off on Monday.

Just taking the wifey out to dinner, neither of us buy into this dumb, made-up Hallmark Holiday too much.

Cooking my wife dinner tonight. That's pretty much it. No gifts. We both think V-day is silly.

It's a manufactured holiday by Hallmark! They make millions upon millions from this day. Cooking dinner and spending time with someone is probably one of the best gifts you can get. My question is what (if anything) to get a girl I've been dating for only a few weeks. Probably just a little stuffed animal or something.

that sounds about right. Don't need to get anything big, don't want to scare them off.
