Never been fired. I've quit every job I've had.

I haven't been fired but I have a friend who has been fired from 12+ jobs and he is only 20.

He got fired from Little Caesars a couple weeks ago in his first 4 1/2 hours on the job.

He also got fired from Food World because a sign fell on a customer and the customer came up to him I guess wanting to speak with a manager or something and my friend tells the customer, "You can just lay the sign down over there." He's not very smart.

Never been fired either. I am on my 4th job in 8 years though, but I've left every job for something better. The best raise/promotion that most can get is one that often requires them to head to another job. It sucks, but many companies would rather a person leave and replace them than to pay them more money in raises. At least that's what I've seen in my experiences.

Re: Have u ever been fired?

I was fired from a job a couple years ago. I was the finance coordinator (bookkeeper) at a small church. Lasted about 10 months. I worked 2 days a week. The whole 10 months I spent trying to do my job in two days between the hours of 8:00 and 4:00. Between my predecessor being completely incompetent, which left a huge mess for me to clean up that I never was able to do, and just the day-to-day stuff, I struggled. I told the pastor about a month in that I need more time, at least for a couple of months, so I could do the job as effectively as I know I could. He never gave me extra time. Eventually after putting in a lot of "free" hours of work at home, I said screw it, and basically coasted for a couple of months. It just wasn't worth it. One day out of the blue, I got canned. To this day I don't know the actual reason why. Doesn't matter because I landed on my feet and learned how valuable my labor was from that whole experience.

LOL, I could see a lot of people at my work doing that. Some customers are just looking for a reason to get you in trouble though.

Re: Have u ever been fired?

I have a lot of interesting job stories. I just recently got fired from a job because the guy refused to pay me and when I threatened to report him he told me that I was fired and to never call his office again.

Another time I went to my first day of work and then the boss told me that the entire department had been laid off. It wasn't really a firing but it was hilarious.

I also got fired from Sears because my job was to stock the shelves but we either didn't have the things that I needed to put on the shelf or whatever we had in stock was already on the floor and there was no place to put the extras. What really sucked about that job(aside from not having anything to do) was the fact that I had to be there at 6 in the morning, which was three hours before my boss came in so the day I was fired I had already been there way before my boss came in to fire me. There's more but I'm tired and don't feel like talking about them right now.

Re: Have u ever been fired?

Now that I think about it, I was fired one more time. It was in 1998, short time after leving the army. It was at an insurance company at telemarketing - seilling (I mean, try selling) insurence to people. I was crap at this job, I couldn't sell nothing back then. The supervisor tried to call me and eventually left me a message saying: "Call me, we'll talk a bit, OK? Have a nice weekend" (It was on Thurdsay). The funny thing is that this guy was, well, I've nothing against gay poeple, but he talked and walked like one and I first thougt: why does he want to TALK to me? Why is he so nice? I admit I had my suspicions...
Eventually I called him and he told me they were letting me go. BUT the good thing was that at that same day I was informed that I was hired as a cashier at a big shopping store. So it was a PERFECT timing!

Oh and I made a co-worker, who was a friend of mine at that time, to quit a job. I mean, it was a well-known and big company here but they just cheated and broke the law whenever they could. So one day I was mad at the company and I just told him everything I thought about the company (while at work) - I just didn't care anymore. So after a month or two he left and was hired by a 10 times better company. After 3.5 months I left too and was hired at the company he worked at. They were looking for some1 and he recommended on me. The funny thing was that another employee we knew at the previous company left to work at the new company too. After a year at the new company I was happy to find out the another 2 employees from the previous comany were hired by the new one. It felt like a reunion of people who worked the the previous company

Oh and a funny story about this co-worker friend while we working at that big corrupted company (the biggest advertising agency here): For some reason he sarted receiving e-mails concerning Nike planning and marketing issues. we realized that he had the same name as the guy who should have got those mails. So we used to read out all those mails and laugh. Actually it wasn't funny because there ware some secret materials and reports there, but we didn't care. The funniest thing was that at some mails he was asked: "We had a meeting yesterday, why didn't u show?"...It was hilarious! We started making a parody about this and I started e-mailing him similar mails to those mails - but funny ones, and we had a lot of fun.

                      sorry to hear that man.
