I feel like they are a bit different than some of your styles...so I doubt many will like them .

The Pumas also look kinda weird on the other side...has the puma logo across it, but I guess something sticks out like that could make it look better.

                Re: OS Shoes Thread

I know this more of a shoe collector thread but I have a shoe related question and don't want to make a new thread.

Has any tried Nike Shox for long distance running shoes? I run 5k every 2nd day and was wondering if anyone had tried them for extended periods and found they could stand up to the punishment?

Was thinking of something like this:

Alright that is good to hear that the shoes look good and...

I'd recommend staying away from Nike running shoes- at least from my experience with one pair and as well as the experiences of others I know who abstain from Nike running shoes like the plague...

Nike running shoes break easily and can be uncomfortable. I'd recommend Asics- although they can be expensive.

Cool thanks for the info. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on them and currently use Asics which I find pretty decent but i just liked the look of the shox for something a bit different but i'm probably better off sticking with a more trusted running brand like Asics, New Balance etc.

I just started wearing Nike's with lunar's and they're really comfortable. I've only ran 2 miles with them so far but they are light and the bottoms are cushy, very comfortable. I actually like wearing them all day long at work.

If you want good looking Asics I'd get these...

Free shipping BOTH ways on asics gel sd lyte black candy apple red silver from our vast selection of styles. Fast delivery, and 24/7/365 real-person service with a smile. Click or call 800-927-7671.

I haven't used them enough to tell you if they survive the wear and tear of long runs but I have gotten compliments each time someone I know sees em and I'd have to guess they can survive lots and lots of runs.

Love the look of those! Many thanks man, from searching the net they also suit my foot type so i'm def going to track down a pair of them. Thanks

EDIT: after doing some more research I decided on getting the Kayano 17's as they got awesome reviews from a bunch of different sites. They are way more expensive than the Gel SD Lytes but not too bad and I managed to find them in a mostly black pair which i wanted. I do some trail runs so i need darker shoes as the white ones get very dirty looking very fast.

I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
