    The ChrisS Severe Weather Thread

So anywho, as many of you may have seen I am the guy that's gonna be editing reviews and strategy articles among other things. Anyways, I'm just wanting to introduce myself to the OSers the proper way, by showing off some of my best pictures from Storm Chasing. I'm "sorta" famous at MM for my storm chasing, so what better way to introduce myself than to show these off. Unfortunately, I don't have any big/photogenic tornadoes..yet. But I do have a ton of good storm shots. One note, the pic in my avatar was taken by a good friend, Eric Nguyen who passed away this past year, it's kind of my way to honor him...anyways, here's some of my pics:

Supercell Near Lawton, OK that Produced Two Tornadoes

Storm Near Mangum, OK...lots of wind/hail but nothing more.

Massive Suprise Supercell Near Velma, OK...

Supercell Near Marlow, OK, this one did produce a Tornado

    Sunset...Just a Sunset

    Weak/Brief Tornado Near Cromwell, OK

    Tornado Near Alfalfa, OK

    Lightning

Large Wall Cloud Near Elmore City, OK

Were you actually able to catch it or is that a screen cap from footage you took?

Either way it's still pretty cool.

Re: The ChrisS Severe Weather Thread

Extreme weather scares the crap out of me. I hate when I see crazy looking clouds and stuff even though tornadoes aren't all that common around here.

But cool pictures. Nature's good at producing some pretty amazing scenes.

Very cool. I didn't think we had any other storm chasers on OS. I had known Eric personally too since I was about 13 years old (now 22) ... he had a big influence on me when I was younger and just getting started.. great guy. His pictures of the Mulvane tornado are still my favorites of all time. Welcome to OS and the board!

Awesome pictures. A friend of mine back at Toledo was a storm chaser for awhile. He was actually a meteorologist with the air force and was stationed in North Dakota for awhile. I asked him why he did it "what else is there to do in North Dakota?". Had some cool stories.
