Etrade, no min & and decent service. I also like the fact they have higher money market rates then other online brokers. I recommend them because they make it easy to start a new account. Trades start at $12 and come down to $6 depend on how much you trade.

I work for Raymond James, so i have to trade through them. Not allowed to have an outside brokerage account. Dont know the tiers the other companies offer, but i guess i have access to alot of other research and utilities too.

I used to work for TD Waterhouse, now it's called TD Ameritrade. I still keep my account with them. They have a good online trading platform and online trading commission is pretty reasonable.

I don't trade stocks online. With the fees that are charged the stock has to go up about 10% to even get your money back from trading in the first place.

Thats true for small investors (i.e. if youre buying 100-200 shares or 1-4 option contracts), but if youre buying more shares, you tend to cut down on your breakeven. I found that out the hard way when i started. Youre right, though, commissions, fees, etc do eat at the ole profit margin

IB, the only way to go if you trade a fairly small account and want low commissions. I pay $1-$3 on 95% of my trades.
