    Thursday Morning Other Stuff (2-28-08)

My wife finally accepted a position at a new location. It seems like a really good fit for her, the commute might be a bear, but other than that, I think it's a great opportunity for her.

The Pistons lost in an exciting game at Utah last night. Damn that Memo...He took the role of "Mr. Big Shot" last night.

    What's up with you?
    • QOTD: How many hours per week do you spend on gaming?

Happy Birthday to the following OS'ers!

Getting my yearly physical at the doctor today. Hoping my cholesterol is lower than the last time. Then it's off to another boring day of work.

No MLB 2k8 demo still. GRRRR!!!

QOTD: Probably an hour or two per night and maybe 4-5 hours on the weekend.

      What's up?

Well, Chase, Matty and I recorded another edition of the "Waiver Wire" podcast yesterday and posted it up for your listening pleasure. Over 2,000 of you downloaded it last week and we hope to grow that number even more this week. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, you can launch the OS Media Player in the upper right hand corner of the main page.

You can also download the .mp3 directly by going here:

      QOTD:

Tough call at this point. With so much else going on, seems like I only have maybe 5-10 hours a week to do my gaming, mostly on the weekends. All you older guys were right...the time to game decreases as you get older.

I get about 2 hours a day in when I get home before the wife walks in the door. So I'd say about 10-20 hours a week. But I don't watch hardly any TV either, so it's really my main entertainment medium.

During the summer, that's cut way down due to yard work and just being outside.

I have so many games that I haven't finished it's disgusting, plus now I'm playing online College Hoops alot and can't get into my legacy or into NBA 2k at all. I can't imagine I game more then 10 hours a week, right now it's really bad because I'm watching college basketball almost every night.

That's pretty much me, too. There's a couple of shows my wife and I watch every week. Other than that, it's either a movie on DVD or one of my gaming consoles.

Re: Thursday Morning Other Stuff (2-28-08)

I have so many other interests that I hardly get to play video games. I haven't turned on my XBOX360 in about a month. That's why BioShock and Mass Effect remain incomplete.

Right now my focus is on watching Dexter: Season One and Alias: Season One. And even then I only squeeze in an episode or two every other night.

Now with Prison Break off I can dedicate Mondays to watching some more episodes of either Dexter or Alias. I would like to game a bit more on the weekends but this weekend I start exhibition baseball games and then there's that little hobby called writing that I try to make time for when I'm free.

I'm about to trade in all of my games just for MLB2k8 and leave it at that.

QOTD: I probably game around 10-15 hours a week, especially now that there aren't many TV shows on.

The wife and I are thinking about moving already. I just got a new job but the move sounds like it could bring about new opportunities. Would be able to finish up school and stuff. Today, I'm just doing the househusband thing and washing clothes and tidying up. Probably get in a good day's worth of gaming too. Might be Bioshock or just continue to do big things in my WIU career legacy.

QOTD- I usually get a variant amount of time. Now that my schedule is more solid, I know I'll have Wednesday's off. I'm definitely gaming. Plus the weekends are more like mines. After the playoffs, I'll be back into about 4 on Sundays and maybe 5+ on Wednesdays when the wife is away and I don't have to do any major work. Should be enough time to start Mass Effect eventually.
