The worst part was waking up, the anesthesia made me sick.
I remember after waking up from anesthesia how people kept asking me questions and I deliberately gave stupid answers. Then upon getting home, I would walk straight into walls on purpose. I was 15 at the time and my thought was, "So this is what it feels like to be drunk?"
I haven't had a root canal yet, but I've heard they're worse from people that have done both. I hope to never have to get one. My wisdom teeth didn't hurt at all, I didn't need all the pills they gave me.
Its weird, most people who have braces end up having their wisdom pulled at some point. I may have to get my bottom ones pulled but my top two will never have to be pulled because i had two of my teeth up top pulled when I was 16 to prevent crowding. So I'm in the minority of "had braces but kept the wisdom teeth".

For like the past year and a half I've been supposed to go consult an oral surgeon about whether or not to have my wisdom teeth pulled. My dentist is under the impression I don't have any room for them to grow in. If I do get them pulled I want them to put me under.
I remember asking if I could have my wisdom teeth to take home when I woke up from the anesthesia. I remember thinking about asking the question but don't remember thinking about it right before I asked it. It was awesome. And yeah, I was dizzy as hell and kind of just spaced out on the ride home.
But yeah, you don't want an infection. You don't have to be super careful, but just don't be an idiot about it.

Is the removal of wisdom teeth more painful than a root canal?
I sure dodged a bullet with a root canal. Well, I didn't get one, but all the stuff online sugar coats the procedure, but from those I know, it's pretty painful. Fortunately my tooth didn't die from getting knocked out several years ago playing baseball.
As for wisdom teeth. I'm not sure if I need to have them removed since only one is showing up in the x-rays. I'll see... but it's something I'm not looking forward to.

The drive home lol. I apparently had a whole conversation with my dad about how awesome burger king is, but I remember none of it, and by the time I got home, I had no idea I had actually been in a car. Whatever they used on me worked very well.
I'll probably have to get mine removed sometime soon. But on somewhat of the same note, when I shattered my ankle last February, they had to immediately put everything into alignment again or else I'd be screwed (before surgery). So they put me under some nice drugs and when I woke up, it was hilarious. Apparently I was flirting with the nurse...
Too bad when I had surgery on it a couple days later I didn't get to feel the drugs, because apparently I had some allergic reaction and they had to give me a ton of allergy medicine that made me sleep for like 20 hours straight, so I completely skipped the drugged phase. When I woke up I was like, "wait, why don't I feel happy?"

Nothing like the gas they put you under at the dentist. My dentist ALWAYS says to the nurse "dude, check out his eyes" and that's the last thing i remember before waking up.
Mine sucked when I got them out. One of them was exposed, the other was still under my gum. The exposed one came out just fine, and other one took 10 minutes to get out. It was stuck to a bone, I could hear it breaking away. All I had was a numbing shot. The hyrocodine after was fun though
