 Re: OS Off Topic

Today at work, I spent about 5.5 hours on converting a file from FreeHand format to InDesign format. Since you can't convert it automatically, I had to build the graphics from stretch on ID. Since I'm pretty new to this program it took long time to do it, because I'm used to FH and Illustrator. But it was a good practice because I'm gonna need this program a lot.My Specs:

 Re: OS Off Topic

Just make sure he doesn't take your stapler and move you to the basementSo today I moved to the office next to where I used to sit. My supervisor came to me at about 1:30pm and said: "You're moving today, let me know before you go to lunch (I usually go around 2:30) and I'll help you move your stuff there". And he really took the stuff and moved it - my iMac, keyboard, trays etc. It's better sitting in the new room, but it took me a month and a half to get a key to the previous room, now it's starting all over...

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I'm starting to get really concerned with my voice. I was sick maybe a month ago and my voice got all raspy sounding. Well...4 weeks later, I'm not sick anymore but my voice has yet to return to it's previous state. Sort of a big deal when you speak for a living like I do. I wonder if I have what Dick Vitale had.Comment

 Re: OS Off Topic

Well, I was depressed last night, and rather than doing something to cheer myself up, I watched depressing videos on YouTube that just made the situation worse. You'd think I learn.

But honestly, it may have been sarcastic a little, but watch some videos like that Christian the Lion video. I've been dealing with this stuff for 19 months now and the one thing that always seems to work a little are the touching videos like thatComment

Yeah I know, I've been dealing with depression off and on since I was in HS so i'm used to it. Usually I find something that brings me out of it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

LOL yeah...but you know what? If I could, I moved to the basement by myself - I've always preferred sitting alone than with other annoying people, but it's impossible...
And btw, my stapler is safe and no one touches it.My Specs:

 Re: OS Off Topic

What a reversal of fortune tonight. I met the most wonderful young lady online tonight (I know I know) we chatted privately in a chatroom for nearly 2 hrs then she called me and we talked for another hour. You know how when you know someone is just right? Well that's the feeling we both got tonight. We're going to keep in touch and it's just magical.

I know don't get carried away but this feels genuine. Just one problem...She lives in Bama country. God help me if I have to live in Saban Land. LOL

 Re: OS Off Topic

It happened to me with my wife: I sent her a PM on a dating site, she added me to her MSN Messenger and we talked there for about 2 hours. She told me later that some one else sent her a PM and she added him too but he was offline - THANK GOD! Then we talked on the phone for about 2 hours. We met 2 days later and it was GREAT! But here we don't have the distances you guys have, and I'd never send PM to some one who lives more than 20 miles away from me. She lived about 12 miles away and it was easy to come to her on the date. What a reversal of fortune tonight. As for your case, first let me say that I'm happy for you, and God knows how many times women have let me down... Second, Even if she lives there, it doesn't necessarily means that you're going to live there too. Give it a chance and see if she fits.
Anyway, good luck, and crossing fingers for you. My Specs: My Specs:

Nothing wrong with that. I met my wife through an online dating site. Not everyone is a winner, but i sure was in this respect. The internet does have its share of weirdos (just check the forums), but there are also normal folks on there. What a reversal of fortune tonight.
