 Re: OS Off Topic

I am thinking about, I just found out I am near sighted and well I just don't want to get glasses. We have one of the preeminent lasiks surgeons right here in Western Mass, he said $1500-2500 an eye depending on what needed to be done. I don't think my insurance will cover it, so glasses for me at age 29.Comment

 Re: OS Off Topic

I started wearing glasses while in the army (I was 20 or 21) but I know I needed it way earlier because I was having troubles to see what's written on the blackboard since 8th or 9th grade. For few years I usde glass only for driving and TV but one night in 2002, after missing my bus (I thought it was another one and didn't get on it, so I had to wait another 30 minutes late at night) I decided to wear it permanently. Except for reading I wear it all the time. Surgery is out of the question for me, I don't mind wearing glasses for the rest of my life.My Specs:

 Re: OS Off Topic

Well my situation is a little different then all you guys but I used to wear contacts exclusively until I was about 12 or so years old things were fine but once I hit that age I kept having the worst pains ever in my left eye when wearing the contacts. I'd take them out at night and then the next day my left eye would be in so much pain that I couldn't even open it. I'd have to get a cold cloth and put it over my eye until I could eventually open it.

So needless to say i've switched to glasses full time Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Yes we do. Unless you're one of those "Brooklyn" ultra-ortodox style or something like that, because for some reason these guys don't have to do it, and it's always a big issue here...but that's for another thread (or online forum). My Specs:
