Well, I'm in the same boat as you two guys, kinda. I used to be extremely shy, but once I kinda started realizing that if I talked to girls like they're my friends, then it makes things a little easier. That plus the fact I work in retail and I have to talk to attractive females from time to time helps, lol.

And trust me, the nice guy route does suck for a while but it pays off. One of the girls I work with is extremely attractive (my one picky housemate responded to a picture of her with a simple "Wow") and I've just been nice to her since day one. And late last week she asked me if I would like to go to a Cavs game with her in a few weeks. Whether its out of friendship or more, it was a huge confidence boost to me and made me feel better about myself and just confirmed that the nice guy way isn't such a bad way to go.

Oh yeah I agree, the nice guy route is the way to go. I will never change who I am just to get a girl. In high school it was such a drag but I don't know I feel like in college I will have better odds. I am going to try the talking to them as a friend aspect.

Yeah, the odds increase in college cause some girls mature and realize that the games get old real fast and just want a good relationship

Two straight nights I've been trying to get with the same chick.

Last night, her friend ****-blocks me by making the girl take said friend home.

Tonight, one of the three people she showed up to the party I was at got sick and started puking and she felt responsible and went back with them. Of course, half an hour later she texted me and said leaving was a mistake...but still. **** blocked by someone who can't handle their alcohol.

And the worst part is she leaves for break on Monday so unless I can pull off some mad game tomorrow, I'm going to have to wait until ****in February to try again.

The complete nice guy approach does not work 99% of the time. Those guys don't stand up for themselves. You still have to flirt and show that you have another side to you.

It goes both ways too. I had this amazing, sweet girl who was so damn nice I never really gave her a chance. She's a teacher and would put a positive spin on anything. She was cute too but all that niceness translated into boringness.

Also, quit building up girls as amazing things. Instead of wanting to feel lucky for having them make them feel lucky for having you.

Trust me, this girl is in that 10%. She is...so oblivious, "innocent" and all of that. I don't think she would even know the first thing of using a "ploy" to find out information.

Oh, and my response was simply: "I know." Got one back with a smiley face and "I'll talk to you tomorrow" and never responded to that one.

Marino and Cubs, I'd just go up to a girl and start talking to her. Just walk up and say Hi and introduce yourself. It's near impossible to reject a guy while he's saying hi. Then move on to other small talk for a while and just get to know the girl. After you know her and she knows you then ask her out.

Went out clubbing in my hometown of Montreal yesterday and it was pretty darn great. It's been a long week and I just wanted to get hammered. I ended up spending close to two bills in the club, and took a lady friend (from elementary school!) back to a hotel I was staying in. I find the morning after is hilarious though; I nearly shat myself when I opened my eyes and saw an arm on my chest.

I was a gentleman though, making coffee for both of us and enjoying the nice view out the window of the Mariott (34th floor!). Luckily this chick isn't a clinch like most women I know, that's probably due to her job which is pretty much like mine, traveling around the world, though she models for different things.

In the end, the point of this post is that spending 500 bucks after you've been away from home for a pretty long time is worth it! (Yeah right)

I am literally 500 pounds. I need a crane and a hole cut into my house to leave. I cannot talk to girls unless they deliver my pizza. But even then i have a series of cranks and levers to put the money at the front door and have the person leave the pizza.

How's that all working for you? As for me, being a nice guy who makes girls feel like queens, I have had a girlfriend for almost 3 and a half years, who feels lucky to have me, as I do to her. And she is amazing.

Apparently if the woman's not a bitch, she's boring. Oh well, I'll take my boring girlfriend.
