Co-sign. It might suck initially if she rejects you but in the end you'll save yourself alot of stress and be able to find someone for yourself.

he is scared to do that cuz then it wouldnt be the same. she wont see him the same way and he will feel bad cuz then they wont even hang out like before. so they wont be the fake friends they are now and to him thats probably better than not being friends at all.

I've been meaning to for awhile now, it just seems like there's no real appropriate time to say that. Especially now that we just got over the worst fight we've ever had.

So what, I care about some of my friends enough to punch a dude in the face for them. You joined the conversation and made two posts assuming that he was wasting his time. You called him sad, and then said that he was scared. It was really uncalled for, and go back and look, you're the only one making those kinds of comments.

I'm probably not the person to be talking to you about this since I just had a long conversation on here about confidence with girls, but I suggest just doing what you normally do. It's obvious you really care about the girl, so just show her that. You don't have to straight up tell her that you do for her to recognize that.

Just be there for her, and eventually MAYBE she will start to feel the same way. If she does, great. If not, then you'll just have to try to convince yourself that you have a really good friend and to try to make those feelings go away.

i.e. JJLinn's case:

The best part of the courtship of my wife (then girlfriend) was two specific instances:

1) When we were chatting it up in our school's commons, sitting on the same side of the booth, when her then boyfriend walked in...the look on his face = priceless! (we ****ed a week later).

2) Fast forward a couple weeks, two guys, one we called "Black Knight" (as he had a black knight chess piece on his leather jacket) and some other douche were obviously crushing on her hard. The latter dude, growing the biggest pair of balls he ever saw came up one night when we were in the same place (and she was jerking me off at that time), walked up, looked at me (and no, I wasn't in the "ohhhh" face stage), didn't even say a bloody word, pivoted 180 degrees, and walked away. The "Black Knight" dude, seeing me walking out with my then girlfriend, would always "just about" talk to her, but chose to retreat to his corner.

Point being, even if she's your "friend", you owe it to her to say you love her, that you lust after her, and if all else fails, quote Holden's soliloquiy from 'Chasing Amy' to her (and yeah...it worked for me...WOOT!). Trust me bro, the Friends Zone can be overcome, you just have to grow a pair and be honest with yourself. Don't get jealous about her boinking other guys, get out there and get that vag yourself!

I'm actually kinda surprised that she hasn't picked up on it yet...either she's super naive or she's in denial...because everyone I'm friends with thinks it's obvious.

Funny thing is we got voted "should've been a couple" for our senior superlatives last year.
