I ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife at her school for her birthday tomorrow. I ordered online from our neighborhood store (gotta support the locals!). They just called me and said they couldn't guarantee delivery by the time school was out. They said they would try to get a store closer to the school to deliver, but that I would need to order a more expensive arrangement. It sucks I have to pay more, but I'm really glad they checked when school ends.

I've gone way over the limit my wife and I set for our birthdays, but not as bad as last year when I got her Sirius for her car. If she has a good birthday, I guess it will be worth it.

So I just blew 40 bucks today at Wal-Mart. I bought myself a 100 pack of Maxell DVD-Rs, 2 3-packs of CD/DVD envelopes, some zesty cheese chips and Exta Buttery Orville Reddenbacher popcorn.

Yes...unfortunately that's the highlight of my day so far.

It's hot as Hades here. Typical Cleveland, go right from 50's to 90's in less than 2 weeks. Basketball tonight is going to be a sweatbox. I better remember to bring an extra shirt or two and a huge jug of water.

I've had a clogged ear all day today. I had to give a long presentation today at work which sucked cause it was just annoying as hell.

I'm going to doctors right now so hopefully whatever it is, it will be fixed.

How thick is the offensive playbook? How man pages is it? I ask because I know some OCs have playbooks that are literally the size of a phone book. (Al Saunders i'm looking at you)

Haha, not much in the way of productive stuff. I played football in HS and I'm just amazed looking through this at how much stuff we could have done differently. Then there are some really good motivational quotes and stuff. But if I spend enough time with this, I'll know the Browns offense inside and out when the season rolls around. Not to mention, I have Madden 08 for the PC, so I'll be updating the playbook

Honestly, I'm not gonna the pages right now cause there are too many, but here's a comparison...




EDIT: And so far the most interesting section is the "trick play" section...good to know some NFL teams have the option in their playbook

Well, I am working on a teaching degree, and I'd love to be a football coach on the side. And if you're gonna learn about how to run an offense, what better way to learn than from a current NFL playbook

No, unfortunately they don't. The selection of trick plays is pretty standard; Options, Reverses (including one awesome looking counter reverse), a double pass, a HB pass, and a cool variation on a flea flicker

There were confirmed tornado touchdowns about 15 miles away from where I live last night. I actually ended up going down in the basement for awhile.

Anyway...sounds like there are going to be some really bad storms (tornadoes) heading my way tonight too...
