I'm not a happy camper.

So I took my customary 4-8 PM nap and woke up to an e-mail I didn't want to see. So I have the Canadian Hearing Society helping me with getting a part time job. Well the guy who's in charge of helping me just sent an e-mail saying he's leaving the job!

I wouldn't mind this really except I hadn't heard from him in a couple weeks. I thought that maybe he's out there hustling my resume around and such and will contact me when any leads arise. The job market isn't exactly booming these days so I know it could take a while. Now i'm left in the lurch as the guy is resigning effective tomorrow morning!

Whatever happened to fair warning?

Sheesh!

Now I have to call the CHS on Monday to see what's going on as they're looking for a new co-ordinator.

Well i got it from my mom to be honest, she puts salt on oranges, watermelon, hell even apples.

My grandpa always puts salt on fruit...seems kind of weird but whatever...different strokes for different folks.

I hate ESPN.

I went to sleep at 8 last night because I was feeling really sick. So I wake up at 3:30 this morning and can't fall back asleep, so I decide to watch the replay of the Celtics/Pistons on ESPN. All is going well until they go to commercial for the 4th quarter and as they come back one of the SC guys says that the Celtics won.

I just hate it when all sports networks show the final score of the game as your watching a replay.

I don't get ESPN Classic anymore, but when I did, I noted the exact same problem. If I'm watching a game that isn't live, it means one of two things: I don't know what happened and want to watch the game in order to find out; or I watched the game before but would like to "re-live" the moment. In either case, what MORON would think it was a good idea to tell us what's going to happen prior to our experiencing it?

The biggest example was when I was watching the Tyson-Douglas fight. First time I had seen it since 89 or whenever it was, so I really didn't remember it at all, let alone what round Tyson went down. I'm watching intently, literally enthralled all over again, and what happens? As they cut to commercial, dude says "Coming up ..." and they proceed to show the ******* knockout!

Seriously, what sense does that make!

This is why I prefer getting the original broadcast copies of games if I can. Actually when Global used to have the NFL rights in Canada they'd show the 1 PM game at like 1 or 2 in the morning. They did a great job as they aired it exactly like it was live so you never got any spoilers. I believe the only difference was that they cut out the halftime show. (I can't be too sure on that)
