That'd be a good game too. I'm just stoked I get to see Carlos Vela play in person, dude is ridiculous.

Not to mention I'm going with two future professional players, SD chicks better watch out.

I had an input or feedback talk at work today. My supervisor and the HR coordinator called me to my supervisore's office... I could sense that something was wrong right at the beginning...My supervisor told me that he's not satisfied and that I'm almost 2 months there and things ain't getting better...and all that stuff. He told me that I made a poster or something and one of the logos was too small or something like that - I don't even know waht he was talking about (and funny that the lady who sits in my office and I work with her from time to time - told me about it after the talk...I still have no idea what the hell the're talking about!). Then they asked me why I thought it was happening, and honestly I can't answer that. So I told them I have no excuses and that I'll do my best to make things better. They didn't exactly say it, but I understand that they're watching me now...Oh and my supervisor told me that the summer is going to be mad and there's a lot of pressure expecting for us...
So my guess is that if things ain't getting better they'll use me for the summer and then kick me out. And that's where the game begins: my goal is to quit just before they're about to kick me - so I can get a letter of recommendation (I won't be able to get one if I'm fired for not being good enough, of course). So I use all my senses to watch what happens and score right before the buzzer! And I'm gonna also ask them for an English letter - which I did with the past 2-3 places I wokred at. And what's cool about it is that they usually don't know what to write and ask me to write it myself - and give it to them to print it on the company's paper, and the supervisor signs it usually right away...
I told one of the account managers about the talk, and she was surprised. she's cool and she's almost the only one I can talk to there...other than another designer that trusts me (she even gave me her resume to spread it if possible because she's looking for another place). Honestly I can't talk to other people there I can hardly say "hello" to them. I really can't stand most of the people there...
Oh, I forgot the best part! We're 5 designers and graphic artists having this InDesign course every sunday between 5-8pm. The thing is they made us sign a paper saying that if I leave (or being laid off) before a year passes from the end of the course - I'll have to pay them about $300 (which is probably the cost of this short course). It's a year from June 29th...And it's probably illegal to get us sign this paper (they even wrote there that we mustn't show it to other people outside the office LOL) but I don't care. U want your $300? OK u can have it, just get me my letter of recommendation!

I finally YAMMED like none other.

Did one of those "throw it up and let it bounce high" dunks with two hands and it felt really, really good. A little more practice and if I drop about 5 lbs I'll be yamming all over fools.

I was so pumped. It was just me and one other guy in the gym and we were playing some one on one games (no didn't do it during the game haha). He beat me 12-7 first game then after I yammed I beat him 12-0 the second game. I also won the rubber match 12-10.

Well, I like the job but I can't even explain how much I hate this place. The more I think about it - the more I fantasize about leaving. It's becoming like a daily war for me - every day is a new war...

My Sunday was the ultimate Lazy Sunday.

I slept for most of the day, in fact I just woke up about 40 minutes ago. I woke up to a treat though as I found a backhaul copy of the '94 AFC Divisional between the Dolphins and Chargers. It'll be interesting to hear the commentators during unguarded moments

Today is also movie day. In fact, most of the early part of this week i'll be glued to TCM as it has some really good programming (to me) coming up. I also have to call the Canadian Hearing Society about my job hunting. The CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind) also called on Friday to say they can help me with finding job placement so I gotta call them today as well.

Don't know how to explain it but I'm already 2 months here and every day I feel like it's my first week. I used to feel better at previous jobs - but here it's different. I can see it remaining the same after 6 months and more. And after the talk I had with my supervisor yesterday it's becoming more and more clear that I don't belong here. Only 1 thing prevents me from leaving now: me and 4 other employees are having a 6-lesson InDesign course. And they signed me on a paper saying I must stay at least a year from June 29 (the end of the course) or I'll have to pay them the cost of it (about $300). I don't care to pay them the money, but we had only 2 lessons and 4 remaining and I don't think I can leave in the middle of it. So I decided that if things aren't getting better (and they probably won't) I'll be leaving next month or by the end of summer (September). I can't even stand the area where the building is - I'm feeling lousy just when I pass here toward the building...everything is so bad here for me!
Now, there's a nice lady (a designer) that I can talk to here (she's almost the only person here I talk to) and she got them firing her finally and she's looking for another place. She even encouraged me to leave and gave my phone number to some1 she knows, who works at an advertising agency I was interviewed a few months ago. I had a missed call in my cellphone and it's probably them but I'll let them try again because I'm not sure yet I wanna go there again and have another interview at a place that probably didn't think I was good for them.
Anyway, I got a big plan, and staying at the company I work for would be better for this plan but if I leave on September, it couldn't hurt it. I can't give u the details because I don't know yet but I'll probably know around September-October. I don't want to keep my hopes to high, but if things go well something big is gonna happen next year...
