The Yakima Bears (minor league club that I'm working for this summer) have their opener away tomorrow so the entire staff is BBQ-ing, listening to the game on the radio, getting drunk, and taking staff BP at the ballpark. It should be fun times.

Also, I've been watching Beavis and Butthead nonstop for the past 3 days...one of the best shows of all-time.

I own the Beavis and Butthead "Mike Judge Collection" DVD box set, and I must say, I'm kinda pissed there's only episodic content and nothing where they watch the videos. That's like 50% of the show I'm not getting.

It has to do with licensing of the songs in the videos. If they used the videos in the DVDs, they would have to pay fees to the artists. It's also a big reason why the Wonder Years hasn't made it to DVD yet.

I have Volume 2-and although the edited content sucks, it's better than nothing I guess.

                    Re: OS Off Topic

So at 7:30pm I was about to finally go home, but then my supervisor asked me: "Youval, can you stay little bit longer, maybe for an hour? We have this crisis (they always use the English word "crisis" itself) and we must finish everything today". So I said OK, I didn't have a choice because I was about to leave but except for one designer who works in the evenings, there was nobody else. And my other supervisor (creative director) came back from home and worked too. That's the good part of the story.
Tha bad part? So I was trying to open this Illustatior file and used the second best Mac in the office, but after 2 minutes when it finally got opened, and I did somthing and try to save - it kicks my file out and shut down the Illustrator! So I try again and again and again, nothing works. I tell my supervisor and he tells me to try to work on my desktop instead of on the server. I try - and it's the same. And now it's 8:30pm-8:45pm and I haven't even opened the file yet! Suddenly I look at the file details and see... 1.5G!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?! Illustrator file isn't supposed to weigh so much! So when I open it again I realize why it weighs 1.5G - the designer who built it EMBEDED all the images - and there were about 25 images, 560dpi each!!! Is she nuts???!!! Who works like that??!?!!
So instead of just making some changes on the file and going home after an hour, I had to build it again by myself! Thankfully my supervisor liked what I did and it was approved...
What a crazy day! Reminds me of the days when I worked at Mccann Erickson (the largest advertising agency in Israel)...crazy place!

Please don't remind me of why The Wonder Years is yet to make it. That probably my favorite show of all time (one of, at least)... I will buy all the seasons on DVD if/when they come out, without a doubt.

As would I and millions of other people. They'd make an insane amount of money if that show ever made it to DVD.

The Wonder Years with Kevin Arnold and his friend Paul? I LOVE that show and I was so excited when I watched the final episode (I think it had 2 parts). It was an amazing TV show! I rememebr in 1993, my parents went shopping or something and I stayed at home with my brother, and that was the first time I saw it. I remember that it was the episode where Kevin's grandpa came to stay with them for a few days, and Kevin's father just couldn't agree with him on anything. They didn't get along...
And I remember the episode about his teacher, Mr catlip or something like that...it was a sad episode.
This and Happy Days are my favorite TV shows

As one of the older members, I feel its important that I pass on some of the lessons I've learned in life. Here's one I learned only this week...........
