Appetizer- Wal Mart Ciabata bread from bakery. Cut the bread in half, put pesto spread, then top it with shredded parm cheese, Then bake it for 7-10 minutes

This man speaks the truth. Especially the bit about clam chowder.

It really is amazing how spoiled we are in New England with our seafood. Heck, even in Vermont most seafood is quite expensive like lobster. In Maine, NH, and Massachusetts (can't speak for CT and RI) it is just cheap. Sort of makes up for the craptastic weather 6 months a year.

Having spent a ton of time in Jersey specifcally south Jersey. Alot.

Starting with having to pay to go to the beach. Especially considering the beaches aren't that nice.

There isn't much else paying for in NJ. Haha... Great Adventure and Atlantic City... that's it.

Although are you sure you're not talking about paying to park at the beach? Because if that's the case, Long Island does the same thing.

Has anyone been to a place called Freebirds right next to UCSB in Isla Vista? They have giant burritos, tacos, and quesadillas with chicken, steak, or beef and whatever else you want in it. Its like Chipotle but way better. I'll probably end up going there like 5 times a week when I'm at UCSB next year.

You often need to pay to get on the beach. Jersey isn't a great place to visit if you don't live there, but it's a great place to live because it has everything.

Unless it's a complete dump you have to pay to go to most beaches in CT and RI as well.

Those cities/towns are absolutely dead during the winter, I'm sure they need a busy summer to help their economic situation and are going to squeeze out every possible dime for those 3-4 months.

And count me in as another New Englander who despises seafood. I haven't eaten any in 15 years.

I guess it really depends on the beach. I usually go to Belmar and the parking is free (although hard to find) and you have to pay to get on the beach.

Not sure what place I told you to go, but the cool thing about NJ beaches are that they all different. Long Beach Island is a good spot if you want a laidback vacation while Wildwood and Seaside is good if you want a more big boardwalk feel. (But these places have a lot of trash people, like Great Adventure). Point Pleasant and Belmar would be closer to NY and offer some cool shore bars and boardwalks.

I would hardly say Great Adventure is worth paying for, considering the majority of the times I've went there, over half the rides are shut down.

Mine as well, although I'll take a good t-bone, or rib eye as long as it's cooked just right. Throw in a baked potato with cheese, butter, a pinch of salt, good shaking of pepper.

4 or 5 Dogfish head world stoudts
&...of course...a taco smothered in panties
