I was watching the History or Discovery channel, and they said that there's going to be a massive one in Missouri or something based off historic evidence that it happens every 500 years. Something along those lines. It happened back in the day but the damage was less because there weren't large structures. They had computer simulations of the St. Louis arch falling, the sky on fire (from gas lines breaking, leaking, and being lit), and stuff like that. It was wild stuff.Last edited by SlimKibbles; 04-15-2008, 09:37 PM.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

I'd rather know that destruction is on the way iso I can take precautions nstead of living and randomly getting involved in an earthquake.
I'd rather be in an area more susceptible to tornadoes or hurricanes.Comment

Here we are talking about earthquakes and we just had one in the midwest. Did anyone feel it? I slept through it. Had no idea anything had happened until my clock-radio went off at 6:20 and they mentioned something about it on WEBN.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Strong Earthquake(6.7 or higher)Guaranteed to happen by 2037 in California
I went to bed at 4 am, just started to fall asleep and the earthquake hits, I had no idea what the heck was goin on at first and it scared the crap out of me, then I realized what was going on and it was over.
Only a 5.4/5.2 (seeing 5.4 on some sites 5.2 on others) so nothing terrible but still scary when you've never experienced an earthquake before, glad the first one was relatively small so I have an idea of what its like now when the big one hits the New Madrid Faultline and the entire St. Louis area is doomed!Favorite Teams:

Re: Strong Earthquake(6.7 or higher)Guaranteed to happen by 2037 in California
It woke me up right away. I guess it hit near southern indiana/illinois. It shook the crap out of my house, everything was swaying. I had no idea what was going on, never been through one before. I jumped up and grabbed my son right away, then about 15-20 seconds later it was over. Re: Strong Earthquake(6.7 or higher)Guaranteed to happen by 2037 in California
When I think of earthquakes, I think of Indiana & Rosie O'Donnell losing her balance.....
I remember about 5 yrs ago there was one outside Richmond & we felt it here in NC. I felt the house shake a little & thought a semi was coming down the street. But I didn't hear any truck. So I looked outside & my neighbor was on her porch looking outside. Then a neighbor across the street opened his door & looked outside. We all just looked @ each other & then went back in. News came on 5 minutes later & said yep, that was an earthquake.Originally posted by VP Richard M. I slept right through it. I went to bed at about 3:25 am and it hit around 4 but damn I wanted to feel it. My brothers felt it. I guess this is just a pre-shake before the big one hits here in st.louis.-JoshComment

Re: Strong Earthquake(6.7 or higher)Guaranteed to happen by 2037 in California
We had storms all day yesterday and last night, so at first I thought it was the wind shaking my entire house. So I looked outside, and none of the trees were blowing. I figured it had to be an Earthquake, but it's not something you expect to feel in Kansas City.Comment
