I like it so I can creep on old acquaintences from HS and check out who they are dating.

In HS we had this catcher who was a hardcore "thug" guy or whatever you want to call that phase. He just wanted to be "cool". Anyways I couldn't stand this guy and now he's really fat and dating a really fat girl. I mean they look terrible together and now he's all into Nascar and shooting animals aka a huge redneck. Whatever but I'm happy he turned out to be a huge loser.

Another guy who was a pitcher was kind of a dork. He was 6-5, decent shape, and he was nice. Apparently he was too nice because now he's married to some chick who is probably 5-5, 250. This girl is HUGE and he's not that bad looking of a guy. When he sent me a friend request and I saw the marraige photos I could not believe it!

That is until I get married, I'll have no problem doing it then I suppose. Anything else feels so middle schoolish, esp for the ****** couple (everyone knows 'em) that break up every other week in college.

I remember my professor telling me this story about his girl friend (not girlfriend) learning about her boyfriend breaking up with her by seeing that he changed his MySpace status to "Single".

I don't know whose problem this is personally, but I'm pointing my finger at the guy. If he has to resort to MySpace as being the way to break up, especially if it's not directly through message or comment, and instead through a status update... I just seriously think his MySpace privileges should be banned for a while. Yes, I'm putting a 28 year old on timeout.

He could've just been changing it because he was about to break up with her.

I agree. My girl is a Myspace freak always updating pictures and what not. I have a Myspace but the last time I was on was like over a month ago. She is always like how come your never post on my page, never update your page, etc. My response is, what is this HS? Who cares.

So sad but its true. I don't use either too much, just to check out old friends and see what they're up to but I learned a while back that setting all your comments to seek your approval first is the way to go.

OK... It makes sense if he just doesn't use facebook that often. I know people like that, so I understand.


But maybe he's not with the right kind of girl. I'm a strong believer in the idea that you should be with someone who shares similar interests, likes similar things, etc. If he's with a girl who puts that much stock in little, almost superficial things like that, maybe he should find a girl with an attitude more like his. I mean, I know more than a couple of girls that are basically never on Facebook, and don't update things or care about relationship status.


IMO, the girl should be happy your boy is not listed as "single," considering he's not on Facebook that often.

Well in all honestly, Facebook/Myspace is used by many for attempting to date/hook up...so if you're in a relationship and you're listing yourself as single on MySpace/Facebook...I can see why someone would be slightly suspicious.

The only thing I use facebook/myspace for is trying to pull something new. I've got a GF right now and my facebook page says in a relationship and my myspace says single.

I still check them everyday, but I don't know why. Its really just out of habit. I never send messages, and when I do get messages, most of the time I just read them because I'm too lazy and dont even care about responding. All of it is kinda annoying though, I'm not the type to leave picture comments/wall posts and all that other BS. I'm finding myself checking my girls' page too much though, I'm thinking bout just deleting my facebook page. We aren't even friends on myspace.

Haha, it doesn't. However, that is a common trait among "red necks". I mean I'm from MS I should know! Though, I know many people share those interests and far far from being considered a red neck.
