im actually on my first year of college. you see the problem is not education, its thinking for myself rather than letting others dictate what i think for me. it started because i hated hypocrisy and then i just kept on digging into more issues that dealt with it and actually thought about the subject rather than accepting it.

people can think i am a social experiment, that i need attention, or that im going against the man but if you look at everything that im saying its not going against the norm, its actually making sense. if anything this so called social experiment just proves that the further away your opinion is to someone elses, the more that person is unwilling to accept it.

If you truly believe what you have been saying in these forums makes perfect sense, or you are the one who sees things for what they are, more power to you. To me, you're just an uneducated kid who simply has not become self aware yet. You don't know what you don't know, if that makes sense. Everyone at the age you are at, thinks they know more than they do. You just take it to an extreme. Whether that's purpose or not, I don't know.

Agree with your last point, but then again that's kind of just the way it goes.

If I can offer you some advice I would say that it would benefit you to tone down the "I think for myself and y'all don't," thing. People do not like being told that they don't think for themselves and when you say that, people will tend to dismiss whatever you're saying regardless of its validity. Just trying to help.

I honestly don't think what he's doing is a shtick. With the exception of one post in this thread he hasn't really said anything that's that crazy, I think he just presents it in a way that makes people mad.

yeah but im not even saying it like that. when i said think for myself its more about the discussion on cursing words really. i am not going to listen to my parents or others who have told me that saying those words are wrong. in actuality, you do have to listen to what others tell you before you can think for yourself. going to school all the teachers and professors tell you this or that happened, and this or that is right or wrong, but they could be wrong. that does not mean if you listen to them something is wrong with you.

I understand what you're saying. I'm just trying to say that I believe it's how you're presenting what you're saying moreso than what you're saying that is getting strong reactions out of people.

Most kids think everything they see is theres. We're talking about pre-schoolers and kindergardners here. These are kids that eat paste and finger paint.

However, if the parents/guardians don't catch the kid doing what ever he's doing and reprimand him for it, he's never going to know right from wrong and will likely to continue on his path.

I can see your point, but I can also see that kids receive positive re-enforcement from their parents and others for doing these good things, which in turn makes them feel good and want to continue doing it...or vice versa, they receive negative re-enforcement for doing bad things, which in turn makes them not want to do those things in fear of getting in trouble again.

My daughter is in day care and kids yell, hit, steal toys from eachother, don't share, etc...you can't tell me all of these kids are doomed...they are just being kids. Eventually, they will be taught how to share, why hitting and screaming is bad, etc.

If everytime you opened a door for an old lady, she told you to F-off and she could open the door herself, eventually you'd probably stop doing it, even though the reasoning for doing it hasn't changed, the result no longer justifies the work.

We'll just agree to disagree with this one, but I appreciate the feedback. It's nice to see how people think.

How the hell can you be right or wrong about respect and disrespect? It is what it is.

                        Excellent post Brandon.

I don't dislike vick. I just think he has a schtick and said schtick is tired.
