Zero, thankfully. I stay away from chain places pretty much. The Chinese food I had last night probably wasn't that healthy, but it was the only thing I ate all day except for granola bars, fruit, yogurt, and **** like that. Cooking for yourself is so much healthier -- that would make such a huge difference for the obesity problem... those portions are craziness. Even if you wrap a piece of chicken in 8 slices of bacon and put cheese all over it and devour the whole thing, it's not nearly what most of those dishes are...

That's some horrible propaganda.

It's one thing to compare Macdonald's "artists" food to what you get, but it's another to change the plate and eat half of it and throw it on a napkin. You can make anything look gross by doing that.

I've had the Outback cheese fries, the Uno's pizza, and the Lonestar steak. I can assure that none of them look remotely like that when you get it and eat it, and all were quite tasty.

Yeah, I agree with the propaganda but these are all pretty common items for the most part. Most people would know what they are w/o seeing a pic of them. It just helps to sensationalize the story online.

I've had five of them:

16. Chipotle Grilled Chicken Burrito - sure it's caloric, but damn, the food is so fresh, they use natural local meat, organic ingredients, plus it's cheap...you can always get it in a salad or bowl without the rice to shave off more calories.

14. Quizno's Classic Italian - a damn tasty toasted sub, though I haven't ordered a "large" since middle school (heck, haven't eaten one in years). I prefer Jimmy Johns'.

5. Uno Chicago Grill Deep Dish Pizza - not a fan of deep dish Chicago pizza (prefer the big, greasy, foldable NYC pies).

4. Macaroni Grill Spaghetti and Meatballs - does it count if it was a leftover from my son? I used to love Macaroni Grill, and it was where we my wife and went to eat on our first date, but finding local, authentic Italian places over chains have soured me on the "American Italian" food.

2. Chili's Awesome Blossom - and the one at Outback, and the strings at Texas Roadhouse...at least every time we order them there are multiple people to share with.

I've digested comparable items to those on list such as the Lonestar T-Bone. I've been to Lonestar but never order a bone-in steak...most chains have a hard enough time making a strip steak or sirloin perfectly medium rare.

As for the calories and stuff, sure it's bad...like someone mentioned above the days we go out to eat, maybe twice a month, are when we eat next to nothing the entire day KNOWING that our full daily intake is coming at dinner (and then some).

I wish I could get NY-style pizza out here. The pizza somewhat like it out here is amazing, authentic NY pizza would be epic though.

I didn't think the pictures were that bad -- some of them were in take-out tin containers as opposed to on a plate, but the food looked about how I'd expect it to look. The dessert pic looked like a menu shot almost.

The rest were just not touched-up restaurant shots like they put on the menus -- that Carls Jr. burger looked better than 95% of the fast food burgers I've ever gotten.. they're usually smashed to ****. Those things are just fried to hell, stuffed with something calorific, or a massive portion (usually meant to be shared). But yeah, it's hard not to be disgusted at least a little bit when you read how much calories and fat they can cram into some of these things. Equivalent to 14 Krispy Kreme donuts? Really?

I have had two comparable. I've nibbled on cheese fries...never devoured them or ordered them myself.

I have conquered many brownie/ice cream/fudge desserts in my life and I don't see that stopping.

Oh wait I've had a chipotle burrito as well. It looked a lot better than that picture.
