I went to Jeffersonville High School so are rival was New Albany High School. Lot of hatred, little respect.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Who was your high school rival?
In my senior year at Pembroke Academy right now, I'd say our biggest rival is Bishop Brady HS, we play them in every sport except for football and hockey (the way HS sports are aligned here in NH is weird). I don't know the history behind the two, but Brady is a private school in the next town over, while ours is public, so that pretty much explains things.
Other rivals would be Merrimack Valley HS (couple towns over, full of rednecks.. heh) and Bow HS (across the river, full of rich snobs).Comment

Re: Who was your high school rival?
I went to Brooklyn Technical High School, and since we were a specialized high school, our main academic and athletic rivals was Stuyvesant High School. Both schools were really old, but a few years ago, Stuyvesant got a brand new state of the art school not far from where the World Trade Center once stood. After 9/11, some of the Stuy kids were forced to go to school at Brooklyn Tech, which might have been interesting were it not for the events that led to them being there. The fact that they got the new building only helped with the thought that they were some stuck up bastards... Last I heard, Tech was supposed to be getting a proposed new building in downtown Brooklyn as part of the Atlantic Terminal project that's supposed to bring the Nets to Brooklyn. Not sure how that's progressing; I'll miss the old building... The rivalry was no joke. One girl in my class was going out with a dude from Stuyvesant, and she was just about ostracized.Comment

Re: Who was your high school rival?
For us it was Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa(the school that had DJ White). We're 14-1 all-time versus them in football(they've only been around for 15 years). They own us in basketball though.
But up until 2002, it was Central-Tuscaloosa. That football rivalry was the best in 6A and arguably the best in the state in any classification. The game was played at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the 90s. It was a regular occasion for brawls to breakout in the stands and on the field.Twitter

Re: Who was your high school rival?
For Broughton I think it was either Enloe or Leesville, I can't really remember. For Centennial in Columbus it's Whetstone. They actually came to our school the night before we played against them and burned a giant W on our field and threw toilet paper everywhere.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Who was your high school rival?
I went to Plymouth Canton (Devin Thomas) and our rivals were actually on the same campus as us. Plymouth Salem and Plymouth Canton are located at the same place and the kids attend class at both school while playing sports for just one of them. Since then they've actually added a third school on the same campus and they dropped the Plymouths from the other schools names, so they are just Canton, Salem and Plymouth (new school). It made for some really wierd days of school when you are in the same class as kids you have to play against that week, I'm surprised there aren't more fights...Comment

Independence Mustangs. We were ranked #1 and #2 two years in a row in class 3A for baseball when we met. They weren't in our conference, but they were about 15 miles away. We always had a big rivalry with them baseball-wise.GT: Herkyalert

Re: Who was your high school rival?
We never really had a rival. We had locals, but our only true rival didn't really count because it was a private school and we were public. Plus, it was really only a baseball rivalry.
Anyway, it was [Junipero] Serra High School. Barry Bonds and Tom Brady went there; I live three minutes from the school.
