I don't know. I guess people just have different palates and some can put up with eating something sweet and salty at the same time. However, my palate always tells me the same thing the few times I've tried. "Hey ****head quit subjecting me to this sweet and salty **** because it doesn't taste good! Choose on or the other! Got it!"

Never. I don't put salt on anything. There is already enough salt/sodium in food as it is. However, I have seen it done before.

I put salt on steak and other beef and seafood, but not fruits such as watermelon or citrus. I am eating watermelon right now.

I've never seen watermelon eaten without salt... is it a southern thing?

I put salt on cucumbers and tomatoes. Sugar on grapefruit and strawberries. Salt on normal fruit equals waste of fruit.

I agree
