I normally dont post personal stuff here but I do consider this a home away from home. So today I come in to say that this past Sunday I lost my mother to Cancer. She was diagnosed almost a year ago with breast cancer and was given a good prognosis. How ever after completing her last round of radiation therapy she started having pains in her side. She was hospitalized and after some test it was determined that some how the cancer had spread to her liver. Thankfully I was able to talk to her and spend time with her before she died. I will say to anyone who still has their parents Love them and appreciate them everyday cause you never know when they might be taken from you.

Lost my mom shortly after she was diagnosed with cancer as well Bigtig, but she had it a bit rougher afterwards because of a few things. She eventually died of congestive heart failure, and the poor excuse for a man she was married to was so bombed that night while she was on the floor he could hardly realize what i was trying to tell him while im trying to hold her in my arms.

It was hard on me because i was fresh out of highschool. It was rough man especially not having anyone there i could talk to. Killer part is, as soon as she passed Tupac came out with the song dear mama like a year later i think and they would play that crap on the radio like thats the only record they had. I hated that song.

What i can say though is that you get through it, but you always feel a piece of you went with mom. It takes a couple of years to stop zoning out and having those once in awhile moments but you do get through it, but you'll never ever find anyone else quite like your mom at all.

Sorry man, i recently just went through something Two nights ago my Uncle died in the ER as he had 2 strokes one in the left and right side of the brain. My Uncle was like my second father.

Tig, man, I'm so sorry to hear that.... Truer words have never been spoken... I always had love for my mother, but after losing my father, I especially take time out for her now... Because you just never know...

I am very sorry to hear that. That is good that you were able to spend time with her before she passed, so many others don't even get that.
