    Don't take anything for granted

    I just found out that my cousin is brain dead following what should've been a routine surgery. He was 22 and went to the University of Houston.

              Sorry for your loss, RIP.
              I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

                                          That's terrible man, sorry to hear that.

                                          My cousin (whose 20 now) back when he was like 12 had surgery on his brain to remove a tumor, because he was getting alot of siezures. I believe they had just started doing the procedure on people a year before he was diagnosed with having it. So he was pretty lucky nothing bad happened.

                                                      It was something dealing with his abdominal area. I don't know what exactly it was but it wasn't a serious surgery, he went into shock and his heart stopped, which cut off circulation to his brain.
