Well, I am blessed to be here. And let me officially say that when my "professional career" began, OS was a part of my life the whole time.
1999 - graduated San Diego State (journalism major); landed media relations internship with Chargers; discovered OS; covered high school sports for San Diego Union Trib
2000 - Promoted to Media relations assistant with Chargers;got "re-baptized."
2001 - Accepted Media relations assistant position with 49ers and moved back to my hometown of East Oakland; my grandmother died (she wanted me to go back to school for masters degree).
2002 - Accepted Sports Editor position with Disney Sports (Anaheim Angels/Might Ducks); I was the only brotha in a NHL front office position
2003 - Fulfilled grandmother's wish and enrolled in Masters Program at USC for Public Administration Economics
2004 - reached 1,000 post at OS
2005 - Graduated USC; played Madden 05 and NFL 2k5 for entire summer and fall
2006 - Become Economic Specialist for City of West Covina
2007 - reached 2,000 post at OS; completed Big League Dreams Sports Park in West Covina Redevelopment Area! It is really cool, they play the Pepsi All Star game at the one in Cathedral City.
2008 (June 30) - Begin Dream Job at City of LA as Assistant Project Manager for Redevelopment!
So there is my timeline! As you all can see, OS has been in my life for over 8 years! Now I can "finally" afford to mail in a nice check and change the color of my name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is really like an online extended family for me. I argued with many and agreed with others. Thanks guys for sharing this with me.
