    Re: Vertigo....

I've had this happen twice, the last time was about 4 years ago. I was sitting at my desk on the computer and all of a sudden it was like someone pulled my chair out from under me and I just tipped over and hit my head on the desk. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

A bit of follow-up... she had a CAT scan and an MRI the other day. CAT scan was fine, MRI.. not. The doctor said some "unspecified spots" on the MRI that they want to go over with her tomorrow with her HMO.

She's worried, I'm worried. We're thinking worst possible scenario here, so we're all praying tonight. I lost my mother to breast cancer 14 years ago, and I've been with my girlfriend for over 4 years now and I do not want to lose another important woman in my life so I'm putting it in God's hands. Just hoping it's a nothing and we can look back and say we worried for nothing.

Video games, sports, and OS have been welcome distractions.

I notice I'll get it when I get very poor sleep for a few nights. One time it hit me getting up out of bed. Room was spinning and I was trying hard to catch my balance. I didn't walk by vision, just by muscle memory. It was shocking to say the least. Are you guys getting proper sleep?

When I read the thread title I thought you guys were talking about the movie Vertigo, lol

I've had it happen a couple times before, the last time it was really bad was when I ran full speed for like 2 straight blocks to catch my train and I couldnt catch my breath for like 15 mins. I was just sitting on the train and everything went black, I started having double and triple vision and I was extremely hot. It lasted for about 10 mins but it felt like I was going to die. Terrible feeling.

              Re: Vertigo....

I had vertigo for a stretch of about 4 months about a year and a half ago. Mine had some thing to do with some crystals in my inner ear. If I turned my head in certain ways I would become so dizzy I would have to lay down and close my eyes or I would be hitting the deck.

My doctor gave me a list of exercises to do while laying down that helped expedite my return to normal.
