No worries man, I'll admit I started to tear up when I watched the one video of people leaving flowers at the scene of the shooting

I can't stop coming back to this thread. Just makes me feel terrible...I realize how much I take life for granted.

People don't realize cops are just regular people who decided to go into this profession.

Here is our Sarge that was gunned down Feb 1, 2006...Henry Prendes.

Just watch the "Henry Prendes Tribute" with him kissing his mom. They played it at his funeral. It's awesome but it's still hard for me to watch. He was just a normal guy, with a wife and two daughters, who loved to golf, hunt and loved his Dallas Cowboys. So sad.

The "Escort of Honor" video is also very touching. They took him down the Strip and every casino put up his picture. Places like the Bellagio had their water show go off when his casket went by.

          That's a wonderful memorial site.

          Like to add these words.

To fallen soldiers let us sing
where no rockets fly nor bullets wing
Our broken brothers let us bring
to the mansions of the Lord

No more bleeding no more fight
No prayers pleading through the night
          just divine embrace, eternal light
in the mansions of the Lord

Where no mothers cry and no children weep
We will stand and guard tho the angels sleep
All through the ages safely keep the mansions of the Lord

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

So sad. I also connect with Miktarian since he's an Armenian.

I drove by Officer Miktarian's house today, and they had a beautiful memorial set up in the yard. It was his badge number, flowers and some American flags. Its nice to see the community come together to support the family. If anyone feels compelled to do anything, may I suggest making a donation to the Humane Society of greater Akron in Officer Miktarian's name. He had a K-9 partner, and was a animal rights supporter. www.summithumane.org

All I'll say is Art McKoy needs to apologize to Officer Miktarian's family and should watch that bastard Thompson die when he gets sentenced to death. And I'm glad that the other personalites on WTAM are ashamed of the station for letting this on the air

Agree 100% Art McKoy is a complete jackass. I know a lot of people don't agree but Mike Trivisonno speaks the truth.

                          Suspect Info: Shot and killed

Deputy Anthony Forgione was shot and killed while attempting to arrest a suspect who had escaped from custody while he was under going a mental evaluation at a local hospital.

The suspect had returned to his childhood home and barricaded himself inside. Negotiators attempted to talk him out of the home. The SRT team entered the home after the negotiators failed to receive a response from inside. As the team entered, the suspect opened fire and killed Deputy Forgione. Other deputies inside the home returned fire and killed the suspect.

Deputy Forgione had served with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office for three years and had previously served with the Fort Walton Beach Police Department. He is survived by his wife and two young daughters.

I meant to post that last one. It happened just a few miles from my house.

Edit: The report there is wrong, though. The suspect killed himself, he wasn't killed by the deputies' returning fire.

Update to the case against Ashford Thompson.

Today his bond was revoked and his lawyer quit. While he was being arraigned today he rolled his eyes a number of times at the judge, also yawning while being spoken too.

This thread is very tough to handle. I hope Thompson gets life,he doesn't deserve death. He needs to suffer.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the officers families. RIP brothers.
