I never watched the older versions and I had no idea there were any until my fiance told me about it.

Re: LOL, When did this start?
I'm thinking we should try and get Pig Latin some much needed popularity again."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: LOL, When did this start?
At our school, we constantly abr. things. Say we want to go to Taco Bell, we say,"Let's get some Tac-" But it sounds like we are starting to say Taco, so they know what we are talking about. We mostly say it in mocking though, because a couple of our friends used to abr. things all the time for real, and we do it to make fun of them.Comment

That doesn't sound right.
There is this guy at work who everyone hates because he's a complete idiot. He always says things like "No probs!" Also, he'll always say sir like a hundred times a day and call people by dumb *** names like Stever instead of Steve and Fast Eddie instead of Ed! He's a 40+ plus year old man and sounds like an idiot. I'm going to seriously choke him one of these days.Last edited by SidVish; 07-22-2008, 03:08 PM."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." Secondly, your username is the perfect example of this particular brand of bastardization of the English language.Comment

Re: LOL, When did this start?
That bothers me. My girlfriend will sometimes let those things slip in front of me. I ask her every time, "Is it just THAT hard to pronounce the rest of the word so I have an idea what the hell you are talking about?". "Fave", "Legit" and others I just can't remember right now. It is a pet peeve of mine.
It had to be done.Comment

No he's not awesome in any way.
Blame my username on my friends. There the one's that gave me the nickname. I never knew usernames were looked upon as a beacon for proper grammar and English.Last edited by SidVish; 07-22-2008, 05:34 PM."You got it man. I don't watch hockey."
