I am a big dirt racing fan, My grandpa raced locally and was a ASCS offical and is now a WoO offical. I remember going out on the road with him when he was an ASCS offical, and it was awesome going to the tracks and I was basically able to walk around wherever I wanted too. Since I had a pitpass and everything.

Rough race to go to yesterday imo..12 lap average for racing as they had competition yellows all day because of the tires

Yeah, I would be supremely pissed off if I went to that race. That should have been an embarrassment to Goodyear and NASCAR.

i'm starting to lose interest...it's all about money, and watching that crap regarding the tires was awful. i thought these people were smart, and had all these tests run?

            what a joke...

They should give refunds to everyone that went. I mean jeez...That was an embarrassment of epic proportions. It was as if they'd never raced at Indy before.

                Re: NASCAR 1st Timer.

Just got back home from the Brickyard race and all I can say is WOW Yeah there was the whole tire BS with all the competition cautions but that didn't matter to me I was so pumped being at my first race. I was a little sad at first cause my fiancee and her son were supposed to be there too but once I got over those tears it was just a awesome experience. We sat front row right across from Jason Leffler's pit. The sound as the drivers started the cars was one I'll never forget nor will I forget the sound of that first pass at the start of the race. Thanks to everyone who suggested getting the Sprint Fanview set up, it rocked and I won't ever go to a NASCAR race without renting one. I might post a pic or 2 once I get them downloaded to my computer. Going to that race re-upped my interest in NASCAR as I was loosing total interest in the sport, I'm already planning on getting my tickets for next years Brickyard 400.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I'm going to try to make it to this fall's Martinsville race.

My favorite racetrack to attend is Rockingham, but that's closed now. I've never been the Martinsville and I love short tracks, so I hope I can make it!
