    What in the world is going on here at OS....

    I have been a loyal member on OS for the last 6 years, I love this site it has been a great place to unwind, get all my sports news, sports video games new, and just a great place to meet cool people. I will always be a proud member of OS forever.

    Lately the site has just been on the fritz with nonsense new members posting nonsense posts and making dumb down threads, especially in the Madden forum. I never saw OS like in all the years I have been a member. Not sure what else to say, t OS may need some more mods or just try and keep these spammers and these low post members just clogging up the forums , I know it would be hard but, can something be done?

    Sorry for venting, things just seem to be getting out of hand here lately.

          Seriously though, I wouldn't mind a minimum post count to start a thread........ I wouldn't set that number that high, I was thinking somewhere between 25-50.......

          In addition to that, perhaps a week's wait time from the time they register to start a new thread.

              I haven't noticed this as much, probably because I have avoided the Madden and NCAA forums for the most part.

                  No, that makes it worse, then new members spam as much crap as quickly as possible to get to the limit.

                              People should have to read the terms of service before they sign up and then take a timed quiz. If they can't get a high enough score they can't register.

                                  Gamefaqs has this type of set up and look what has happened there? Granted they dont seem to have mods and if they do they were never around in my time there but it has been a long time (about 5 years) since I visited there with any regularity.

                                      I agree.....I think its just the release of Madden right now though

                                              What about a referral system?

                                              Every board i've been a part of that has done this has seen a decrease in trolls.

                                              I'd think that would be a smart thing to do. Let everyone view, but only referred people sign up and post.

                                              Either that or maybe a one strike and you're out type deal. One red flag and you're gone.
