GTA IV Worse for Teens than Porn and Beer?

What's Up?
Going to a seminar for work today (ZZZZZ) so I won't be at my computer all day. Hoping to get some fantasy football prep work done while I'm there.

What are you up to this weekend?

Have to go to Cincinnati for my fantasy football draft on Sunday. Driving down to Dayton tomorrow afternoon and staying at my in-laws. No plans for tonight. Try to get some work done around the house before I leave on Saturday.

Wow on the GTA Story...I'm not a parent, maybe that's why I'm surprised.

This weekend is going to be busy for me.

Tomorrow starts the first week of high school football, which is an exciting time, don't get me wrong, but it can be a bit cumbersome with my job and all. I have to go to Rural Champaign County Ohio for my games, so I have about an hour drive.

Saturday morning I have a keeper league draft at 11am (ugh) in Dayton, then Saturday night I have a Bachelor Party in Columbus for a good friend.

Then back to Dayton Sunday for work again. Fun Fun.

QOTD: Weekend im going looking for new countertops (meh), some Rock Band/Madden/NCAA/Head Coach and going to the Bucs game on Sat night with the wife and parents. Good times.

Not much planned for this weekend. My wife is still a little under the weather and thinks she may have Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. Maybe we'll go see a movie or something like that.

As for the GTA article, what sorts of prudes did they poll. I mean really, watching porn is a natural part of the human condition. Like it or not experimenting with drugs and alcohol around the age of 17 is as well (I'd rather see my kid smoke weed than drink honestly). I guess I don't see the big deal saying a 'violent' video game is worse than porn for the kids. I mean sure if they're watching "2 girls 1 cup" for those purposes than okay that's bad, but really that article is a non-issue.

QOTD: This weekend is all about Orientation at Nova still. Right now I'm just in the dorm for a few minutes before I go do more fun orientation stuff. Tonight we are going to a Phillies game though so that'll be fun.

QOTD: I got a Fantasy Football draft at my brothers house tomorrow night, and I'm going to my friend's softball game Sunday morning. Also have another Fantasy Football draft Sunday afternoon. Other than that, not much.

thinking about going down to the bars tonight. Everyone is finally back in town for school so it should be pretty fun.... But I have to work tomorrow morning, so I hopefully I don't get too out of hand.

I wouldn't put any weight on the GTA stuff.

It was totally targeted for that to happen. It was on a site where parents can go and see what games they should allow their kids to play. Of course they are going to say that GTA is the worse thing in the world.

Terrible survey, it is basically like making a poll, McCain or Obama or Foxnews.com. It isn't even worth thinking about.

haha wow, watching porn concerns parents more than drinking. Alcohol can kill but my god the porn.

Interesting article though. I'm really suprised at how low drinking was.

I could totally picture walking in this house seeing the kid playing GTA and walking into the strip club, while drinking one of his dad's beers. the mom freaking, and the dad just wondering if he was gonna replace that beer.
