Yep, it is a big blessing. Just don't let it go to your head. Honor your God and your family and God will bless you more. Sorry for the lost. That is cool thought you will see her again. I like that.

Financial security is certainly a blessing, even though I'm sure you'd much rather have your baby daughter back.

My prayers go out to your family, and the doctor as well, hoping he has learned from this huge mistake and is able to move on with his life from this point on. There are certain professions where errors simply cannot be made, especially one as selfish as this doctor's error.

like others have posted, it's a bittersweet victory for you. While your baby was lost, at least you have some satisfaction that the doctor has been found negligent (responsible) for it.

This has been a rough time for us a month after we lost our daughter we lost just about everything in Hurricane Katrina but our patience and prayer has payed off. We have been blessed with this oppurtunity. Though this could never take her place we have the comfort of knowing we will see her again one day and that this doctor knows that he will be held accountable for his actions.
I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. I know you'd give the money back in second for her to be here.

That being said, damn that's a lot of money. Has this been covered on the local news at all? Just wondering because I receive the channels out of Mobile.

Wish I could say I'm happy for ya. But seeing what happened to you on the way w/that settlement, kinda takes the joy out of it. I just hope your family can move ahead w/your lives.

WTF! Stopped at a Subway to have lunch? Are you kidding me? That guy should never be allowed to work in a hospital again, even as a janitor.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter and congrats on winning the settlement. I know there is no amount of money that could replace the love of a little girl. I have one of my own and I wouldn't give her up for all the money in the world.

10% goes to the Lord right off the top. It wasnt covered in the news because of some type of law that protects the doctor. I'm not even allowed to say who he was. But if I'm face to face with someone I'll suggest they stay away from him.

That's sort of what I was hoping to hear. I figured that was automatic with you, and it was.

Your a good man to still follow your beliefs in this situation.

What a good way to look at it.

Spend it wise my friend. Maybe put it all in the bank and see if you just can't live off of the interest...

Either way, your kids will now have their college paid for, a stable home, and the fear of poverty striking them wiped away.

Still, it's a shame about your daughter. I know you would give back the money to have her with you, but it is what it is.

Good for you man. I'll keep her in my prayers.
