Re: Need Your Prayers, Please
Here is the latest update on my dad. He went to the oncologist on Tuesday and he will start chemo in two weeks on November 19. He will have chemo every other week for 6 months. He was to have a pet scan next week. Yesterday he had a port put in which will be used to give him his chemo medicine.
His spirit and attitude has been good. He has good days and bad days but for the most part he is doing very well. I thank all of you who have been praying for my dad and me. It is greatly appreciated.Comment

That's awesome to hear.I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: Need Your Prayers, Please
It's been a while since I started this thread. Thought I would give an update on how my dad is doing.
He went through 12 chemo sessions that ended at the end of July. Dad was feeling great. He had his energy back, good appetite and was putting on weight.
A couple of weeks ago he started having the same symptoms he had when this whole thing started, loss of appetite, tired, and trouble pooping. He went and had a CT scan on Tuesday September 15.
The next day we get a call from my dad's regular physician saying he needed to admit my dad to the hospital with what was thought to be a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung). We went to the hospital and dad had another CT scan of just his chest. Good news, there was not blood clot. They sent him home. The next day he had an appointed with the cancer doctor. The doc told him he has a tiny spot on his lung. The doctor said this was nothing to be alarmed about. It meant the cancer was active again and he would have to go through a second round of chemotheraphy.
We went to chemo this past Wednesday. Dad has to be hooked up for chemo for 3 hours. He then gets sent home with a pump for 2 days (only had a pump for 1 day the first time around). He then goes back two days later to take off them pump and get another hour of treatment.
Dad has only had one of the new treatments thus far. He has been feeling very tired and his appetite has not been very good and still has trouble pooping. He is keeping a good attitude and not letting his condition get him down.
For all of you who prayed for him the first time around I again thank you immensely. I need your prayers again. Hopefully this round of chemo will send his cancer into remission.
Sorry for the long post but had quite a bit to explain.Comment

Prayers will be sent up for your Dad, yourself and your family from tonight and as long as needed.
Take care, stay strong...and keep us updated.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
