Neo Geo games were $200 a pop, we see how well that went, But seriously, what a perfect game to you may not be perfect for someone else. There is a thread in 2k forum where a guy who played the Beta says the sliding is not bad compared to NbA live 09..Im like What? Have you even played the Live demo? There is practically no sliding but your fan boyism is saying other wise? Oh well Ill pay 60 bucks unless there are bonus disk, so 80 I say.

Re: How much would you pay for THE perfect sports game....?
If the perfect game (using NCAA or Madden as a reference) would keep me enthralled for hours on end, never get old, have every feature i wanted, would upodate teams and rosters each year with real recruits (NCAA) or real rookies (Madden) and stay fresh year after year, id pay 500-600 bucks. Thats 10 years of Madden or NCAA, and instead of me paying 60 bucks a year and being pissed, id buy it once and be playing that perfect game for 10 years. Make it happen EACheck out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.
You too can be a 5* recruit at FSU.......

Re: How much would you pay for THE perfect sports game....?
Games are only one form of entertainment, not buying a car. I'd pay the same $60 price I do for every other game, as the term "perfect sports game" is an oxymoron anyways. By design, they have short development times and release yearly. The licensed games have design restrictions placed on them by the NBA, NFL, NHL, etc. Also, why buy Perfect Sports Game 2010 if Perfect Sports Game 2009 was so damn perfect?Comment

yes, because everyone has "one million dollars" to spend on a yearly sports franchise like you do. Please.

The absolute perfect game wouldn't need upgrades (obviously) nor any new iterations. Aside from roster/stadium updates or whatever kind of online updates you want (as provided with the "perfect game" experience), I would pay maybe $200, but no more.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: How much would you pay for THE perfect sports game....?
Even if the gameplay was perfect - without features to keep the game up to date, it wouldn't last me more than maybe a year or two. This is also assuming there's no way to update rosters via some editor like the one for 2k5.
So - I'd pay what I pay for any other game that lasts me that long; $49-$59.
Especially since said game is still coming out every year. Basically if I want to keep things up to date, I have to spend that money every single year to do so. I'm sure as hell not going to pay much more than that for one game, if I'm going to have to pay it each following year.Last edited by MC Fatigue; 09-23-2008, 04:21 PM.Comment
